Nice one. I've gone pico

It will clear up in time. I had it one time 2 days ago. Saw it in the morning and thought something must have died but the water turned clear when I got home and all livestock doing fine and no fishes or corals were harmed.

Thanks Clement for sharing your solution!
Yes that's right. Takes care of the nudis till the last one

I nuked the Zoa colony which had nudis in full plain distilled freshwater. All nudis came off lifeless and my zoas were safe and going strong after it had nudi removed.

Nice I will try to build one except that I will use light with nm specific output as advertised by sellers on AliExpress. Let's see how this goes.

You can dip with fresh water for 10 mins and not killing the Zoas ??

Yes I did just that. Zoas side down in a small bucket and they survived. Doing much better than when I first got them due to nudibranches

i haven't check how much i have spent on electricity assuming that there hasn't been much fluctuations in electricity past few months comparing to the most recent bill. i am also a little worried as there are so many equipment plugged in at the moment. takes more than a home entertainment system. "so reasons i give is its a hobby so it's like that one"

nice zoas, what dip did you use ?
I use chilled distilled water with no additives. Soaked the zoas for 10 minutes before hosing it with tap water.

It's coming back full force albeit slowly and I could see some eggs hanging the side. Will scrape them later.

Once ur big 3 hits the minimum required for marine tanks, Coraline algae will start to grow. Calcium 400-500ppm, KH 7-11dkh & Mg 1200-1500ppm. Keep these 3 parameters at higher but stable constant levels and u see ur Coraline algae growing fast as well as ur sps if u have any.
Thank you for the tips. I'll look forward to buying test kits for these big 3 elements. I just killed off a platoon sized nudibranch and the feeling of satisfaction to see it falling off the zoas.

Went on a total killing spree on nudibranches and hose down the zoas hopefully getting rid of its eggs too. Lesson learned. Always dip and quarantine new live rocks

Finally guys. In the dip it went and declared war on terror. Killed what must have been hundreds of these guys coming off the zoas. Must have been an infestation.

How do you grow the coralline algae so fast? Does it come after the diatoms died down?

I stayed up to look through the zoa's for any nudibranch or snails but can't find any. However I did find this guy
Do they harm zoa's?

What the frag!

I had a closer look at your zoa in the above photo compared to your photo posted on 25 Nov. The zoa don't look as healthy as the earlier photo. Just to check did you dip your zoa. They are known to come with pests?
Yeah Bro. Most seemed to have closed up. The tanks been running from scartch since the day this thread was opened. Initially I thought they were not getting used to this tank and no they haven't been dipped. What could be crawling on the zoas?

I realised that pico is simply one tight space and I planned on upgrading to a one feet tank. Do u need to keep the water cooled?
