I am using a cooling fan and I need to top up water daily becos of the evaporation. Btw the effectiveness of the cooling fan will depend on the room temperature. In my case, during hot weather, my tank temperature stays at 30 degree despite using the cooling fan. Hence it will be advisable to invest in a chiller if u intend to raise corals:)

Hi Kelvin, my fish tank is about 3 weeks old.
Btw, the colour of the corals returned and their polyps opened up subsequently. Is it a norm for such behavior?

You may need to get the light in the right spectrum too as zoas prefer actinic lighting or at least lighting in 16k - 20k Kelvin temperature to really Color up.

@he hello bro azlindaza That was my plan to start with some zoas but until I get the parameter right .I won't want to spend on a coral . still can't have my water parameter on the good side, particularly nitrate (No3) level the reading are at 100ppm even with weekly water change .(15 % )= tank is 80 L 2ftx1.5x1.5ft with a 13L volume sump .tests done using salifert test kit , tank been cycling for 2 months . light only on 7pm-10pm for me to view my fish. =Feeding for them is twice a day small pinch of pellet .what am I not doing right ?
