Based on my past experience, GSP is light demanding coral. I moved my gsp to corner of the tank where it is close to sunlight and then next morning it fully opened.

The thing is, same lighting and same flow all the times but out of a sudden.
I have slow down the flow and repositioned also.

Lesser number of tentacles today when I get home. I do not see any slime on skeleton. What kind of treatment do you recommend

Hi Reefers
My torch coral which is with me since past 4 months is starting to die on me. One of head skeleton is appear and tentacles are started shrinking. Anyway to recover, appreciate your help and suggestion.
Tank parameters
Salinity 1.026
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0
KH 11
PH 8.2
Calcium 500 (I know it is higher than recommend but it is known issue to me and torch is living with this more past 4 months without any issue)
Feeding - Pro series Sea plankton made with rotifers 1-2 ml every other day.

@Mike. I am not dosing anything except PH only when required. Weekly water change 5-10%

Well. I am using API test kit and following the exact instructions, moreover no dosing at all. Anyone else facing same problem with AF salt mix?

But AF salt mix contain 410-430 mg/l , any idea where is the extra stuff came from.

Sorry. Can you please explain more as I am not expert. Where is this calcium carbonate came from, salt mix? Should I leave it as it is ? Or how do I bring it down to decent level. Thanks

Hi Reefers,
Would like to check with your expert advise on issue with high Ca level. I have been observing Ca 550 since past fews months. Corals and fishes are doing good but is this something I need to worry about ? and also wanted to figure out the reason.
Dosing : none, except from adjusting PH when required
Salt : Aquaforest probiotic salt, specs say 410-430 mg/l
Salinity:1.026
Nitrate : 0
Phosphate: 0
PH : 8.2
KH :10
Corals:5 heads torch, 2 heads hammer, 2 heads branching hammer, GSP and mushrooms.
