He can survive forever without a shell as Long as nothing eats him and YoY take care of him. Try iwarna. They have some decent shells at times. Small and medium. No large tho. They do keep dead hermit crab shells at times. Another evil way is to buy some snails which you think might fit him and boil them and dig them out.
