  1. Totally agree which is why I don’t think I am asking for unreasonable prices.

Tbh, you did put a reasonable price.
Problem is, we are looking for an unreasonable price.
I’m not sure about others but for me, more of, if I buy a used item, I hope that when I don’t use it, I can sell it for the same price and break even.
Aka buy cheap sell cheap and let the hobby grow. Example, if you were to say you sell for $20 and you stay in the north, I’ll grab it. Lol.
Don’t need it but at that price, no harm adding to my sump. Lol.

Don’t give up. Now cny coming most people trying to get rid of stuff fast. A lot camping for items people want to give away. This timing is not a good timing to sell stuff tbh.
All waiting for people to do spring cleaning and give away stuff.

  2. 1. We are cheapskate.
    2. People usually want all big or small blocks not mixed.
    3. Location might be an issue.
    4. Some will calculate cab there and back to collect aka almost same price as 2 new blocks. (Save 20-30% they find not worth it for mix blocks)
    5. They don’t need it.
    6. They worried it might carry unwanted stuff.
    7. They lazy to soak, wash and dry.
    8. No more space in sump.
    9. C.O don’t approve.

Can be any one of the above reason. Don’t take it personally.
Most people wanna pay 10%-20% for “used” items.
    Try to change title to,
    “WTS Seeded MarinePure,
Ready to add to your sump tank!”
Sounds a lot nicer than used.
Words do matter at times but I might be wrong.

Coral farm is good for selections but not good for tourist.
If you are buying, they welcome you.
If you are just sight seeing and taking pictures,
They might be rude to you and even ask you to leave.
Friend took some pictures and he was being questioned slightly rudely.
Once he started buying, and they know he wasn’t just taking pictures for fun, everything was fine.
They make it quite clear that it’s a place of business not a place for tourist.

If TS is looking to buy, worth a visit.
If just to look see and take pictures, would advice to avoid cause of the chance of having a bad impression of our marine shops.

  4. hey bro...dats a false cleaner wrasse...it will bite off chunk of flesh frm your fish...to confirm, its mouth is beneath its nose.

Bro. No offence but I’m kinda of confuse.
If false cleaner wrasse mouth is beneath its nose, then where would the mouth of a real wrasse be located at?

  5. Bro. That’s why we choose to stick to selected lfs.
There are few ways lfs sell.
    1. Shipment arrive, quarantine few weeks, coral healthy and stable, sell expensive.
    2. Shipment arrive, quarantine few days, coral healthy and stable, sell market rate or above.
    3. Shipment arrive, can sell direct without quarantine. Cheaper than market rate but risk is on you.

That’s why some corals can sell for $100 in one lfs and $150-$300 in another.
If you want cheap, take the risk.

Another issue would be buyer anxious.
Example 3. Selling cheap but we should not buy yet. Wait for a few days and come back and check if it is stable. But you are worried someone else would buy it before you buy and you can’t reserve it cause if it dies, shop lose money by not selling it off when they have the chance so you take the plunge and purchase it. Risk is on you.

Basically, it is ALWAYS our problem/issue if we do not do our part when buying.
If example 1 & 2 the coral survive at the LFS for do Long and you bring it back, it dies, your tank issue.
If example 3, also your issue cause you don’t want to wait worried people buy before you or can’t wait and see if it will be stable at the LFS.

    1. Cheap
    2. Healthy
    3. Looks good.
    Choose only 2.
If you want all 3, be a loyal customer and you will slowly get discounts more than shop hoppers.

    Sorry for the Long post.

  6. Sadly Orchard is for shopping not hardwares.
    Try local florist.
565 Thomson road. Slim chance as they might be similar to hose connectors.
Better chance would be ChenCharu Link, few aquariums there. Or any specialist aquariums you can Google search.
    You can also try Iwarna.
70 Pasir Ris Farmway 3, Singapore 518234 and ask them to order. They might do so. +65 8714 2313

If you really want near Orchard, try DIY shops like home fix or daiso which chances are very slim. If you can afford to stay Orchard area, you should be alright with Homefix pricing.
Or else you will have to travel to Pasir Ris, Woodlands, Jurong or Ang Mo Kio industrial Parks to find cheaper pricing.

Industrial area have to ask shop by shop cause not all carry exactly what you are looking for.

Best chance to get your parts.

    1st. aquariums.
    2nd. florist.
    3rd Orchard/shopping centers.
