Small update.
Don’t mix cuttlefish of different size.
New smaller addition got eaten within minutes even tho it had another fish in its mouth.

Just set up my tank not long ago.
Not as attractive as the old birds here,
But here is a simple picture. Still slowly adding and removing landscape and fishes.
Here is a small video of my first cuttlefish and his second meal.
Failed to video the first fish he caught.

Not too sure about it but what I expect from a chiller is that,
1. Sensor in the chiller turns on the chiller when water temperature exceeds preset temperature.
2. Sensors will shut off chilling when water temperature reached preset temperature +- 1 degree.
3. Temperature sensor is located inside chiller = stagnant water in chiller reaches desired temperature, chiller would not be lowering the water temperature thus not freezing over damaging anything.
But if you are using an external temperature probe to regulate chiller to turn on/off, then it’s a different story.

Shouldn’t matter I think.
I just transfer the water from my 2ft to my 3ft and top up with new salt water last month.
Technically it’s like doing a water change.
Do have Corals and fishes in my 3ft now and they are looking quite well for a few weeks already.
Btw, I’m not a pro, so if mine survives, so should yours?

Have to glue your corals to the rock. Mine keep plucking till I glue it. Then they can’t remove it.

Oh. Take bundle get free black sand. Not live sand. Have been washed and semi dry. Should be enough for one layer maybe 1/2” deep. It’s free, so judgement not accurate.

Not sure if you want to spend more but,
Maxspect light + gyro + return pump.
All can program and I’m currently enjoying it cause I’m quite laze.
For sump, use the auto roll filter.
Don’t have to keep changing the filter sock every few days.
Initial pocket pain. But after that, damn shiok everything automated don’t have to do anything except water change.
