    If a person pays cash, its a big sign that he is a confident and successful person.....and girls will fall for you too. Be confident in yourself......no need all those LV, Prata or Platinum card. Be cool stand proud and have a nice smile.

    Without realising, the banks are de-valuating us with all the cards they giving us. Are we so poor that we have to buy things on credit? Don't you all realise that you are working hard everyday, contributing part or may almost all your hard earn salary for the survival of these banks? BE DEBT FREE. PAY CASH!!!!

    Holding a platinum, gold card doesnt make you a rich man. Rich people dont flash their cards, they flash their money. BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF.

    I hold 2 credit cards, one for use and the other for backup when I on business travel. Its ok to own credit card. For me, whenever I really need to use it for payment, I will keep the amount of money I sign for aside. So every month I pay them cash, plus I get to accumulate points.

    DON'T WORK FOR THE BANKS, BUT LET THE BANKS WORK FOR YOU.

    Im waiting for new tank delivery. I'll be doing the Plenum System this time. Once i get started, I'll post my progress in the forum. Jz shift my old tank and cabinet to another position in the house....damn tired doing the whole process of clearing the water so that it is easier to carry. Then put all back in and rearrange my LRs and corals. Gave my anemonies and blue tang away to my fren who help. Next time I might give away my yellow tank and clownfish too. I am going to keep 3 or 4 fishes and corals.

    I guys!

    I jz purchased a new 3/2/2 ft tank wz sump and cabinet to replace my leak IOS tank. This time I wanna do a better job in setting it up.

    I am going to do a Plenum system and I have been asking around. Question is, do I start the planum works first, then add the salt water in the tank, let all the salt disolved after few days, get the salinity right then put in the sands [grade3, 4inch/ grade1 2inch then grade 0 1inch].

    Found a minor leak this early morning. I think it is due to the silicon. What shall I do? Buy new tank or send it for patch up. If buy any plc to recommend to get instand replacement? I thinking of getting a 3ft tank wz sump. Present one is 3ft wz IOS.

    Don't try to add over dose MG to boost up to the required amount, it will upset the system. I did it slowly alternate days and after a week plus it got back to normal and my calcium too. I strongly advice you guys to be patient. Try to look for 3 party opinion from the experts in the net or books. Experts, I meant ppl who are did Marine studies for many years not those trial and error type.

    MG is like a bridge to corals and LR. If your Mg is low, your corals and LR cannot absorb calcium well thus calcium level became high. In human....if you consume calcium supplement without magnesium, the calcium supplement will be a waste and bypass your bones.....my 5cents worth of knowledge.

    So focus on raising your MG. :peace:

    NITRATE PROBLEM

    I got same problem too but I change water regularly,upgrade my equipment and remove the coral chips and change my feeding to once a day. I am using IOS like you too.My corals are doing fine now. If you yearn to keep a coral garden,keep your LS to the minimum and have chiller and MH so that your coral got better chance of survival. Im trying to catch my Yellow and blue tang to give away for adoption to my gd fren [FOWLR].

    IMO this works for me.

    I wz told to correct the MG first then Calcium . So I am focusing on adding MG every 2 days once till hit the required reading. Don't give up, this hobby needs patience.

    I got the same problem.My MG is 1070ppm but my calcium is 500ppm. Ive been dripping MG trying to raise it 25mg/L 2day once...using Seachem. I am using Salifert test kit. Due to this, I was advice not to add calcium or Kalk. I didn't check my KH cuz waiting for Salifert stock to arrive.

    I change water about once in two weeks and using Coral Life salt.

    Corals all doing ok except my yuma... :cry:

    I always on the move...in out of country. The most I am away is about 8 or 9 days. If your LS and corals are already stable, have a chiller and an auto feeder....no worries mate!

    I jz home from a 8 days trip. Few days before I leave, i make sure water parameter good.. Feed the corals market shrimps...feed fishes with frozen brine shrimp.. Change water one day before departure and lastly before I leave the house, I make sure all switches are ok. Fishes can survive with food from a single small feeding from auto feeder. Don't worry about water evaporation rate cuz its only about 1 and half inches,cuz I am using chiller.

    I can understand yr anxiety cuz I am little kanchong when I am away. SAY A PRAYER BEFORE YOU LEAVE AND TRUST GOD TO TAKE CARE OF IT. So far, after a year in the hobby...nothing happen! TOUCH WOOD.

    Heard that Salifert Test Kit is very good and accurate. I have looking around for Calcium, NO3 and dKh Salifert Test kit and I cant find it. Can anyone PM me where I confirm get all the test kit required. :thanks:
