There wont be a need for tube or cap if a ball valve is added to the overflow pipe. The flowrate can be altered to suit the return pump rate by adjusting the ball valve. The ###### sound can also be reduced by adjusting the ball valve as the sound arises when the rate of water being siphoned from the pipe is higher than the rate of water entering the pipe from the main tank.
The flow will stop when water level is below the strainer in the next pic, and restart again when water level increases. This set up had served me well over the past 2 years without failing.

To use the AM Turboflotor Multi SL out of sump, need a more powerful to drive the skimmer rite since there may be some head loss due to the distance of the skimmer and the pump!

eh... when out-sump, it is for the skimmer to be located beside the sump, with only the pump inside, so u can utilise the space within the sump for other stuff.
HnS models requires 2 pumps, one to feed water into the skimmer, the other to create bubbles. Thus the choice of pump to feed water into the skimmer will depend on how far away you plan to place the skimmer away from the sump.
Thus for this model, out-sump is to place it beside the sump, not for it to be far away.

bro jerv, which skimmer second hand will u proposed, take in consideration, i dont really want to always fine tune the skimmer... and also if the pump spoilts, i want a skimmer that i just change the pump not the skimmer

The Aqua Medic Turboflotor Multi SL can be in-sump or out. It is a needle wheel so if spolit, only need to change the pump.

Hi everybody.

Pls bring your own containers and preferably some of your sea water too to keep the coraline algae submerged as i have limited sea water.
For those interested in just the coraline to see your tank, few pieces are still available.

The strainer is a seperate piece to collect dust and other particles from the surface of the water. And so that the suction will not affect my sand bed. Instead of permanently fixing it, used the twister wire to fix it instead.
