Definitely must have canister filter or try to build ur own sump. Don't think ur HOB filter have enough space for both mechanical and biological filtration. What lights are u using btw?

That is great. Can you tell more about your system, what filters and DI do you have?

First stage is carbon filter, second is 125g membrane and third is DI resin. using without booster.

Remember to have a fixed light schedule bro. Don't let the corals absorb light too long nor let them have light for a very short period of time

An auto doser would be good to have, keeps dosing in check on days u forget or don't have the time to do so.

It is very common, they are stessed have to acclimate to new flow and lighting conditions. Try turning off the flow in ur tank unti they settle in. Also try feeding them shrimp once a week. They will get more comfortable overtime and crawl all over ur tank and splitting every few weeks or months

Are u dosing anything? C, KH and MG should always be at a balance or not ph drops drastically. Also if ur corals are doing well and u see growth but ur ph is on the low side, 7.8, 7.7 etc I suggest u dun try and chase the ph level. Just monitor ur corals closely.

u could buy submergeble refugium light and put it in the water under the chaeto. Another light above the refugium will maximize chaeto growth. Also try the 12hr cycle. From morning to night, on ur reef tank lights and refugium light should be off. At night, on ur refugium light and off ur reef tank light. Algae will use up co2 in tank maintaining ur ph. Also put in copepods as they eat excess food and bacteria from the water that flows into ur refugium.

Do you need to cover the refugium transparent box with black tape or is the light leaking out okay for chaeto growth

U need 20 now.. think they updated it
