  1. I prefer the clear silicon... but does using black silicon make any different?
  2. I DIY most part of the setup... it is fun but can be frustrating sometime when thing didnt work the way it is supposed to. It happen countless time in my setup... leaking been the most common problem...
  3. I think all those cable are from the tunze stream... dont know how to hide those cable...
  4. The tank after it is complete, new and old water from the 2 years old tank was run for one month with some new and old live rocks... The fish was transfered first into the tank and after a few week I transfer my coral from the old tank one at a time. So that the new system can adapt to the increase load.
  5. do u mean the first chamber from the left? those are just algae... but if it is the first chamber from the right then it is live rock...

  10. after going all the discussion and consideration... the wall and tiles is completed...
  11. This project is actually completed abt 6 months ago.. the tank is already up and running... I am posting this to give everyone a view of the consideration and work needed to construct such a project. For me, I am lucky to married a designer/contractor as a wife... so with my interest and research we design and build this.

This will be the location of the new fish tank... it used to be a study room... wall around it was all taken down, and a new wall will be build with the fish tank in it. the red line will be the new wall and the blue line is a hole for the tank. All construction drawing was done by my wife and I, construction completed by my wife design firm...
  14. This fish tank have been with me for 2 years plus... most of the coral have been in the tank for abt as long... this is a picture of the frogspawn that was one of my oldest coral...
