  1. i'm sure everyone studied basic maths right? Amount of water = Volume = L x B x H. then convert from there. btw, height water is measured from top of sand to water surface.
  2. that's what a lot of people say...there was a big discussion about this on RC recently but they removed the thread now. Actually I bought some Seios too and planning to use them with wavemaker but not anymore. In any case, its not recommended but never said "cannot". so you can try....(at your own risk)
  3. mantis, from what I know, Seio pumps are not recommended to be hooked up to a wavemaker.
  4. I read on some posts about LFS doing chiller servicing? Anyone knows who?
  5. Eheim Liberty 150 - $15 Dymax EPH3000 - $20 (just bought from another reefer a few days ago, but realized not suitable. bought at $20 also). Info: www.adec.com.sg Can meet at a central MRT station to collect if preferred.

  7. Can't find any info about this chiller brand at all.
  8. haha...thanks.. that makes sense. UPZ UPZ UPZ....
  9. i think i asked this before, what's up or upz? btw, got website link to NSEW? how noisy is it?
  10. Any1 in Singapore has this issue?? http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=579561 sounds scary

  12. hi powerjazz....i don't know what's happening...i sent you PM & sms but no reply. asking you about your return pump brand.
  13. seamonkee....i actually like your pvc stands and have bought all the elbows & pipes to create 2. i think what i like about using such a stand is i may save some space behind by not having to have rocks as foundation to make a slope. the front and sides i don't mind stacking with rocks to hide the pipes. aceb - i get all my hardware stuff from Fu Ann Engineering in Serangoon Ave North 2. They have everything u need for aquarium hobby there.
  14. thanks ervine...sorry...the noise i mentioned does not sound like a malfunction kind of noise (as if I know what one will sound like). But its more of the humming sound that it makes when running coz i use it externally and screwed the bottom plate to the ground. Is there any trick to cushion it to absorb the vibration so as not to make it audible?
  15. Am planning to hook up the M820 pump to a timer as a wavemaker. Is the on/off going to be detrimental to this pump?
  16. thanks. it worked last night. but the eheim 1260 quite noisy man.
  17. I think if you walk along sentosa beach you can find some grape caulerpa washed up ashore.
  18. One question....I'm curious.... instead of pushing water into it initially, can i pour water into its outlet to fill the pump with water first? you think it will work too?
  19. thanks robin & d76..... will try it out tonight.
  20. I have an Eheim 1260 powerhead. I know it can be used externally. but when i try to do that and switch it on theres like a big noise and not ######. is it normal? do i have to wait a while for it to suck?
