my luck like quite good with clowns. bought 2 skunks, they paired up and host my anemone. then bought 2 black clowns, and they also paired up and host my frogspawn. then bought these 2 tomatoes and they paired up to host my bubble....hehehe....i got golden hands man....
but no eggs so far, so kinda disappointed. reason im selling them is because they are chasing the blacks too much.

Hm... it's FeSO4 reaction that eventually get Fe(OH)3... then what will happen to the SO4 left in water? Will this cause some ions imbalance with the increase of SO4?
i think sure got some imbalance. sort of like dosing epsom salt.

cool, just now i was talking to another reefer on the phone about the ferrous sulphate thing, and he mentioned he used aluminium sulphate once (maybe not sulphate, but confirm aluminium something). anyone heard of this?
-
woah, i not trying to spoil things here, but the anemone is bleached bro. its exactly the same as the one i have right now.
good news is that if it starts to feed, you are pretty much in the clear

i got this stuff from naka a while ago, and have been dosing it quite consistently into my sump. its super effective in low dosage. first time i did it, i overdosed and my sailfin and regal tang died
there has been an obvious reduction in hair algae. as far as i understand, the feso4 will precipitate into a brownish powder that turns the tank light brown. because of that i use a lot of filter wool and the tank clears right up within a few hours.
my lps and fishes are ok with the amount i dose now (which is about 1/4 teaspoon per 100 gal). no strange behaviours.
however, if you have sps, it might be a real good idea to do it naka's way. im a pretty lazy bum
it's a great way to reduce phosphate and the best thing is that it's damn cheap compared to rowa
many thanks to naka
-
woohoo!
new quote: $45/kg.
still twice as ex as naka's though....

hi all,
im going to buy some ferrous sulphate to reduce phosphate. its damn useful and cheap (as compared to rowa or sorb 4).
i got some from Nakazoru a couple of months ago.
http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51765&hl
im still searching for a cheaper source. if anyone is interested, i will be more than happy to get some for you as well.
also, please let me know if you know anywhere else that sells cheaper. the quotes that i got are about $60/kg, which is 3 times more than Nakazoru's.

i was surfing around just now and stumbled on this
http://duggmirror.com/programming/Preventi...sing_a_CAPTCHA/
looks very interesting and maybe src can implement this in place of captcha. i bet its a lot cheaper too.
hope it helps!

here's a short review on starphire
http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...topic=33432&hl=
and my tank thread.....been ignoring it for quite a long time

hi guys,
im selling my 3 ft starphire tank as im going to downgrade to a smaller tank.
the tank itself (with the starphire front panel) cost me $310 and is about one year old now. im looking at around $200. it comes with a wrought iron stand coated thickly with anti rust paint.
the sump is an empty tank that i use mainly for my skimmer. its actually the old diamant panel tank i had before.
here's a pic of the tank when i first got it.
-
i think it can. one of my friends used it for his 5 footer before.

WAH LAO!!!!!
how you manage to get them to open? is chio man....
