  1. Hi guys, I am using the Prizm Read Sea Hangon skimmer but I release that since I cannot do much to control the speed of outflow, it has resulted in a very confused and powerful buildup of microbubbles from the outflow of the skimmer. Anyone reefers use Red Sea Skimmer and has also experienced my problem? How do you pevent/miniise the "bubbly state" in your tank. Some says hang a sock, while others say just leave it. I understand, but I may be wrong cos I don't tell you have the problem with the sump cos the outflow is pumped back to the tank instead of letting it overflow out directly from the skimmer. Anyone any feedback. My tank is now so budbbly that I cannot even see my fishes....eventually. I am using the jebao cannister filter. Please help/advise
  2. Yup I did the dipping in Freshwater for about 30 - 45 minutes at the fish farm. They were nice enough to do that for me and that resulted in quite a fair bit of them "hitchhikers" being removed. Just last night I saw this long crawler slidind out of one space and into another. Really giving me the creeps to search and destroy!!! Are there any solution/chemicals that can be used to kill them/force them to come out??? Am still very distressed
  3. Thanks for the reply but with the buubles, it does create some sort of a "confusion state" in my tank. Should I just let it be? But that would also mean that my tank will never have clear water right? Or will the Skimmer stablise after a while?
  4. Hi guys, I am using the Hang-on Red Sea Skimmer and I noticed that the outflow from the skimmer is very strong and it creates small bubbles in my water as it is being released from the skimmer. Any harm if I were to reduce the speed of skimming? Any advise appreciated. Regards, Chris
  5. Hi guys, Was told to turn on my skimmer and chiller during the tank cycling process with my LR, anyone any feedback whether it serves a purpose to do that? Or should I just turn on my skimmer without the chiller or vice versa? Tank specs: 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft Red Sea Skimmer Jebao 3018 Cannister Filter Resun 450 Chiller Any advise appreciated. Regards, Chris
  6. Hi guys, After putting in my LR during my tank cycling process, I notice a bloody long worm sliding out and hiding into another space/hole whatever!!! I bought the cured rocks and the rocks was also immersed in freshwater for 30 minutes when I got them at the farm at Pasir Ris. Anyone knows how to get rid of the worm......any solution/chemicals that can be added to kill it?.....but first I got to find it!!! If I were to leave the worm in the rocks, just in case it does not surface anymore, will it do harm to my corals and fishes eventually?? This worm is highly making me distressed!!! Please advise. Chris
  7. Thank for the reply. I am living in Pasir Ris. You got pics of the 2 small LR that you have? Are they cured? Thanks!
  8. Hi all, I have been trying to look/source out Live Rock but to no avail. Have been to Pasir Ris farms but they also do not have "nice looking" LRs? Seems like a lot of LFS are also running out or do not bring in frequent LR stocks. Anyone has any idea where else they have good LR stocks. Appreciate all advise. Regards, Chris
  9. Hi guys, Anyone of you have bought a CR aquarium with the back filtration? How many of you are using the Weipro skimmer SA2012 for a 4ft CR tank? Was wondering whether it is suitable and appropriate. Am considering LS/Corals and Fishes only. Will the Weipro do the necessary for the 4ft by 2ft by 1.5ft? Please advise. Thanks!
  10. Hi all, I have been considering the 48inch x 24inch x 18inch tank from CR for quite some time. However their quote for the PS and pump seems pretty high. Was considering getting this PS from a farm in Pasir Ris (Weipro SA-2012) but am unsure whether it will fit in the sump at the back of the tank (yes, the tank I am looking at comes with the filtration system at the back of the tank). Can someone please advise me whether I should just get the PS from CR or go out and source one separately to save cost. Appreciate all response. Chris
