hi guys,
DIYing is quite simple actually but u need alot of time running around to get the stuff.
If anyone can get the FL casing, i dont mind helping.........
the casing must be 5.5inch wide and 3.5 inch height in order to mount the MH.those interested in how it look like.....look at the MH in action.

overhead filter is not suitable in keeping Marine fish....unless u keep LH...

Does chiller consume a lot of electricity?

Why not DIY a MH (2x150watt)?? look at mine...rest on tank and only cost $300.

Thanks panlee. I will not be putting a DSB on my main tank, therefore I don't think a 24" high tanks is needed. I'll be having my DSB with macroaglae in my sump.
Need more tips, keep them pouring in.

if u have a small sump and intent to have a DSB, it will not be effective.....DSB need a very large area to progress.....unless u have a large sump!!

Its an addiction and a sure way to becoming poor. You can start with anything and will still end up in a 4-6ft tank with MH, chiller, Expensive skimmer. Not to mention the softies, followed by LPS and then the final killer dose of SPS. By this time, you will curse yourself because you could have gotten a car or swimming in a country club or relaxing on a Carribean beach had you not started.

I hate myself!im facing the same addiction too........non stop upgrading....
now new tank.......bigger hole in the pocket.....
but, its worth it..!!
