  1. what sound is it making, fan rubbing on rear casing???

whining sound means bearing gone liao....

in that case $100 is on the high side woh....

I think the sound is like a motor gearing up.

Suspect there may be something stuck in the impeller chamber.

Unfortunately, the first owner has painted some anti-rust material on the nuts.

So, I cannot verify this (not a good DIY person).

The $100 is the price I pay when I bought it from him less than 2 weeks ago.

    I only try it once.

    Price is negotiable.

  2. Bought this from a bro in this forum about a week ago.

The pump runs but there is a persistent noise coming from its operation.

    So, decided to sell it.

According to the bro, he is the first owner.

    Bought direct from Japan.

    Selling at $100 neg.

    Collection in Choa Chu Kang.

  3. upz for you. New plan huh.

    Thanks for your support.

Yup. finally decided to rescape my tank to add more colourful soft corals e.g. carnation coral.

Prefer to get more smaller fishes.

Will be hanging one carnation coral upside down from my piping into the tank.

Hope this will help it to reduce energy for polyp expansion during feeding.

  4. Hi,

I have the following fishes for sale:

    1. Regal Tang (more than 6 inch) $30

    2. Squarespot anthias female (more than 2 inches) $5

    3. Red head fairy wrasse (about 3 inches) $8

All the above fishes feed on flakes, frozen brine and mysis shrimps as well as Henry's gourmet.

(I don't feed pellets. So, I don't know whether the anthias will eat pellets too.)

    Take all for $40.

  5. saw tis 2 fishes b4...big n healthy...seldom c so big one..keke....

    bro,yr wife let u sell e dory ah??tot u say its her favourite fish..kekeke

    Hi bro,

No choice. The fellow so big, his turning is no longer natural in the tank.

So, has to sell it off and get a new smaller one instead.

Then, I can get more fishes too.

BTW, do you still want to loan the seagrass filefish?

I have put it in my sump.

    Cheers

  7. Hi,

Reduce price to $1 per kg.

    LR comes in various sizes.

From huge LR (about 1 ft in diameter) to serve as base rock to small sizes to help prop up corals.

Wide range to select your choice of sizes.

Clearing LR in sump to make way to experiment another type of filtration in sump.

    Cheers

  8. Hi,

I have about 40kg of LR for sale at $2.50/kg.

And also have the following for sale at $5 each.

    3x electric blue hermit crabs

    1x electric orange hermit crabs

    5x dwarf zebra hermit crabs

The LR is from re-scaping and sump after installation of new Beckett skimmer.

These LR have been in my tank for a year.

I am de-commissioning the hermit crabs as I am switching to abalone instead.

(At least, they will taste better.)

For the person buying the LR, hope he can adopt the followings:

    1x green serpent star

    1x bi-colour dottyback

    1x maroon clownfish

    1x tomato clownfish

1x coral beauty (if I can catch it from my main tank)

Collection is at Chua Chu Kang North 5.

  9. yes, at least have a fan.

else coral will have higher metabolic rate, need to eat more,

    more polution and shorter lifespan.

if temp constantly at high, coral bleaching may occur due to

a series of interrelated events e.g.

high temp = high evaporation = higher salinity

high temp = low oxygen holding capability in water

high salinity = lower oxygen holding capability in water

    etc... :snore:

  10. Have a 3" Purple Tang and 2.5" Coral Beauty for swop.

The Tang is healthy and no ich.

Reason for giving up is to reduce bioload in my tank.

Looking to swop for reef-safe inverts or gobies/blennies or small fishes.
