finally decided to embark on a new tank project to give my fish more space to swim about and more corals thanks to fellow reefers here who offered help and advice, and who kindly allowed me to pop by to draw inspiration from their beautiful tanks.
link to my old tank thread. no longer in existence. tearing it down wasnt a simple job.
compare the pics for b4 and after the reno.
impressive decor.
better still, beautiful tank can be seen from all living room, dining and study. is that a window or another tank next to the dining table?
thanks thanks. esp for the great pic. i think its an excellent solution. the eheim fitting cost abt 20dollars and does not come in the size i want, 19mm. the hose connector is only 2dollars from any hardware shop.
i'm actually using it externally. it came with 2 fittings - 16mm and 25mm. the first one for outlet and the 2nd one for inlet. i expect signficant improvement if i can find the 19mm fitting cos i'm pumping water through quite a distance. thanks.
i got a 1262 for my chiller and 19mm eheim hose to connect to the outlet. unfortunately, the fitting provided is meant for 16mm hose and not suitable for the 19mm hose. anyone knows where to get the 19mm fittting to replace the 16mm fitting for the outlet so that i can use the bigger hose?
thanks. i tried petmart but they don't have. only got the 25mm fitting.
i just pump at geylang shell. 26%, though signboard says 20%. i think they give discount cos they are just reluctant to lower prices when world oil prices drop.
try testing tap water or distilled water. reading shd be zero with tetratest no3, else ur test kit could possibly be defective.
drop in no3 is very gradual.
even with a 50% water change, u may not be able to half the no3 level.
