  2. I'm interested to buy. please pte msg me.
  3. US. It will be small a tank that size would not cost more than 20 bucks.
  4. a picture of a 5.5g. It will really be nano, not alot of space to work with, but its not too small like a 2.5g I've seen 2.5g that can be really awesome.
  5. that is a cute tank.. but theres alot of tricks to that tank ok, basically.. i think startin from zero is a must, becos whats the point of startin anyways if most of us already have nanos.. beside this is a nano thread! I know budget may be the bugging issue for alot of us, so might i suggest... we work on NANO-SYSTEM below 6.5gallon. The tank cost is going to be cheap, unless ur going to DIY one urself.. equipment for such small system like lights should not cost a bomb, but please do suit urself if u wanan use MH, cos it'll be really interested and challenging too. go search nanoreef, and RC, theres quite alot of 5.5 nanos and some 6. I'm sure it'll b fun to work with them. so 6.5g.. what do u think?
  6. Lets start small and simple... lets just have one category, below 10.1G. There will be no limitations of equipment used (water vol. rule applies) There is no limitation of the type of corals and fishes, the theme will be GROWTH and HEALTH. So from SIMPLE things to mushrooms... to SPS. Doesnt matter how complicated the coral need or whatever.. the whole thing centers around GROWTH and health And of cos, alittle presentations and creativity. Prizes isnt that important, but we can work this out. And I still think corals can only be added within the first two months from the start date Cheers, tell me what you guys think.
  7. oooh 2 pistol! do both of them go along wif da goby or something? 1 thing abt these guys.. they dig alot of tunnels and it'll get sand on da corals on da ground :X
  8. U GOT DA SAME GOBY AS ME!! AND THE PISTOL SHRIMP TOO!! WOOHOOO frm henry?
  9. nanoreef rawks. but lets get back on topic guys =]
  10. Good idea BFG, but maybe we could do our "own" way but lets leave da option open, cos its really interestin to see all sorts of shapes and dimensions and all... Hello guys, as you can, its really a good idea! Some of you have really poured in some of your suggestions which are really good! Some or so so but all in all, lets all make it FUN, and yet get new reefers interested, and also ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER, so show that reefing isnt flying a rocket As most of you have suggested, making a standard is important, but we also must consider the fact that everyone has a budget, like me.. i got a tight one!! so does iantoh! 1. Below a fix volume. (if you have a sump, total vol. must still meet the requirements) 2. ANY filtration or equipment is allowed. 3. Coral casualties or replacements will NOT be disqualified 4. Everyone's tanks should start from BARE. 5. Corals can be added within the first two months only. (May change this abit) A monthly report of our personal tanks will be done, pictures would be best. All tanks will be shown off at the end of six months. Our focus will be on GROWTH and HEALTH! on corals and LS. Now lets get down to debate on the tank size! Cause I really want it to be as nano as possible!
  11. Hello guys, I was thinking to promote nano reefing, and the special touch of it, lets have a nano competition! Basically, not just a put in corals and take a photo(becos anyone can do it), but more on the most growth(for corals) and the health of the fishes in it? Basically, maybe we can set a a standard of tanks like below 2feet, and set a water volume limit. Maybe we can brain storm this alittle. Maybe this can take place over the year, maybe starting on JAN 2006. so we have all the time to cycle our waters and all. Better still if we can standardise the tanks And monitor our tanks on a website monthly.. like a blog. I'm sure new reefers, or even professional reefers will gain somethin out of this.. very raw idea.. but i think its good. Cheers Hobbes!
  12. Hi andysho I hope ur not in some sort of crisis now, money seems to be the center to ALMOST everything.. every importatnt decision made almost have money as part of the considering factor.. infact most of the time a very high percentage. OMG 2 CRABS BITING MY CORALS... !!! BRB
  13. Hi, I'm helping my good friend of my set up a nanotank, Please see if you have anything to offer from below.. 1.Tanks, 2feet or smaller! 2.Hang on back filter (Ehiem is the best, but will settle for anything that works well) 3.Small skimmer... anything smaller than RED SEA PRIZM. 4.Lights, 2feet, 1.5feet, 1feet PL, FL anything goes. Thanks for reading.

  15. Hello guys! Sorry, i've been really busy for the past weeks! Cosplay stuff and personal time I need a partner also okay! Anyways, I really neglected my tank alot, loads of green stuff have been growing all over the glass. I will clean it up and change da water on wed, and maybe go and pick up some corals.. maybe only. Till then I'll post pics potomotrygon: As long as your skimmer skims out brown stuff, its fine Do water change once every 2 week(Use good salt or seawater) And dont stick ur hand in too much
  16. Well done! Nice tank... I suggest, keep it up!! Dont add more than two more fishes and all, you should focus now on making ur fishes happy, maybe the food intake, vitamins and all. Try making ur fish last for 1-2years! I got a good friend whos fish lasted 3 YEARS until he murdered it haha. Cheers, i love fishes.
  17. HEllow broinz, awesome tank - I LIKE IT. Could you post a pic of ur tank overall? (Far enuf to see all ur equipment and all, wonder how it looks like) And maybe one of these day u could frag ur starpolys and trade 'em with me.. i got 2 types of starpolyps. Cheers, david
