  2. Swee lar, just nice I got a 2ft 4 tube Hopar T5 to let go.... lol... less than 4 months old I think....
  3. Good luck and keep us posted. The address and unit number would be nice
  4. It is not impossible. Example, if they use the same material as bio-rings.
  5. Yeah, I saw them selling various sizes last time I was there.
  6. I have 2 industrial MH lights with to give off free. Comes with ballasts and tubes (1 used 1yrs +, the other I not sure). Condition is must take both and I would gladly accept some small frags of mushroom, zoos, rics etc if you offer. No anemone though.... FCFS!
  7. Ditto what bro jacky had mentioned, on top of that, you might want to monitor the salinity as some salt residue to crystallize around your tank, especially when you are using fan.
  8. Sorry, there is no brand on it.
  9. yeah. Sort of. It will keep monitor power consumed until you reset or power shut down. You have to manually check after 24hrs. I wonder if there is one you can download a log file and view from PC. Will be good monitoring the spikes hours.
  10. I was giving away free narrow leave java ferns few years back. Its value was something like 4 leaves for $10. I advertise them in forum and at least 10 members ask for reserve. Being nice, ok lor, i packed few into each packet for them to easy pick up.... I waited from morning and waited and waited...... Until the next day, I dumped everything into the rubbish chute and I stopped offering free plants after my trimmings.
  11. I got mine from a friend. He told me it can be found in Sim Lim Tower. Cost about $20+. PS: Mine is already about 3 years old. So prices may varies.
  12. Nice to meet you in person. Thanks for the sponges. You've got amazing tanks!
  13. Any thing 8k and above have a bluish tinge, but it starts getting obvious after 12k. IME there could be 2 reasons of yellowing. Water yellow very badly or you got a bad (misprint?) tube. PS: Some tubes turn on with very yellow tinge and slowly become blue.
  14. kk.... Thanks for the assurance
  15. Cool! I go over later! To steal some frags from you can?
  16. haha... Thanks, feel 50% better liao!
  17. You still using it bro? I am considering of getting 1 or 2. How much did you pay for yours?
  18. Thanks bro! I do have one spare (most of us ordered 2 to get the minimum order previously). Unlikely I would set up another tank in the next one year. PM me if anyone is keen but it would not be at a lower price for sure. So low baller buzz off ..... Haha... its ok... I was just trying to to react a little during this suspense period.... BTW, bro, Were you the one that tried Mr. Clean Magic Eraser?
  19. Arrgghhh.... you guys are scaring the hell outta me!
  20. This were the pictures taken when I received mine. Operation wise, its just sitting on my sump tank.
  21. Some of us ordered the SM100 scrubber look-a-like during the bulk order conducted by Stevenkoh and myself. Bro Steven loves his dual, and I barely started mine. Some users from other forum did complain of scrubber staining the water. However, SM did mention in his thread that it must be clean frequently, else the bottom layer will brown off and die, leeching color to the tank. Make sense to me, but I suppose the color could be remove by Ozone if you are using one or maybe even activated carbon. If I ever complain, it would be the power consumption. Running more than 100w a day including the 4 x 24w T5 tubes and pump for 16 hrs everyday is not exactly very economical. The theory behind the use of scrubber is very logical but some members might feel rather extreme either way. You may want to start up one to help the cycling as the scrubber is truly effective in removing spikes from Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates. It might not be a holy grail to reefing but definitely able to control any sudden spikes. If you are DIYing, remember to design one for easy cleaning, and to clean it every 4-5 days. Hope this helps.
  22. On the box, it states -direct replacement for all GLS PAR38 spotlight application. -Unique shape of spiral tube creating almost similar light, brightness and effects as GLS PAR38 spotlight -Substantial benefits compare to GLS PAR38 spotlight --Save up to 80% electrical bill --Longer lamp life up to 4-5 times --Generate much less heat --Produce more comfortable light color --Safe and environmental friendly --Comply with RoHS requirement I was wondering how could a halogen lamp be energy saving. From the message, it should be a halogen "color" CFL replacement for greener choice. Moreover, I use my hands to remove the bulb after testing at the shop. Don't think its possible for halogen
  23. The zoom out version. Please advice.
