    The calcium reactor is still available but i think because of the broken connector others are finding it troublesome to replace.

    Just a brief description of this unit.

    I bought this set from AMG at a much higher price. And in the past i have used Korallin 3001 and also did a DIY dual reactor with CO2 recirculation but after i used this reactor from AMG ... it is the best reactor i have ever used - no maintenace at all and the second chamber made sure the CO2 are dissolved before they are reciruclated back to the tank. The ALK are maintained perfectly at 10 and can even go higher to 14.

    In fact of all my purchases - this is one of the most efficient item I have on the list. So anybody going for sps can consider this reactor. In case you miss a good buy.

    1) Giesemann Nova II Ligthing 250W overdrive magnetic ballast using 10K BLV bulb (bulb used less than 3 month). $250 - any pix for this?

    This set uses the BLV bulb and the overdrive ballast made by Eye lgihting. The 10K BLV bulb will appears less yellow compare to normal ballast. the giesemann casing is silver in color.

    I will try to see if I could take a pic during the weekend.

    1) Giesemann Nova II Ligthing 250W overdrive magnetic ballast using 10K BLV bulb (bulb used less than 3 month).  $250

    2) Calcium Reactor - dual chamber with half-filled media  (enough for 3 x 2 x 2 full sps tank) there is one connector broken - you can easily replace it though. Just  contact JoeP and buy it from him as this is made by him.  $250

    3) Protein Skimmer H N S 850litre internal model with aquabee pump - $ 450 reserved by whoami

    4) spectrometer - 40 bucks

    5) Teco Chiller TW6 - bought $1700 first hand used for about 3 years working perfectly. $ 600

    6) 2 x Float sensor with a circuitry to be used with a soleniod (you can get the soleniod from RS equipment ) I used it to automate the filling of evaporated water. $30 Reserved by five

    7) temperature controller with a probe to shut down MH lighting if temp goes above a certain temp. $ 50 reserved by Losbter

    8) 2 x 25 litre water container - $1 each.  reserved by Akirasan

    9) Aluminium CO2 tank 6.5 litre with soleniod and lab grade tunner - $150 reserved by Five

    INterested, can PM or give me some details like Age, power rating, maintanance...etc thanks.

    I made search on google cant find any model that can cool up to 76gal... only 25 (120w) to 55gal (240w)...

    Hi Limsteel,

    The last time when I bought it - in the US Drfoster site it mentioned 76 Gal. I think they have changed it to 55 gal.

    The set is 240W model

    I have used it for about 6 months before I switch to Teco TW6 due to upgrading . There is no maintenance at all which is the good thing about this chiller.

    Anyone owns a Piano in here?

    3 years back i was looking for a piano but at last I settle for a digital ones. My wife got grade 8 and myself just play occasionally - self taught.

    Decision - I bought a Yamaha CVP209 digital piano (due to the hammered key and the number of polyphony it could offered during that time)

    Reason :

    Pros

    1) can use earphone

    2) no need to do yearly tuning maintenace

    3) upper series of yamaha have quite alot of features (the speakers are simply amazing)

    4) if you buy from yamaha - within 3 years they will take in your piano at 50 % of the cost.

    Cons

    1) Need to check whether it is examination model or not ( for me - I am not into lesson or examination so it is fine)

    2) there might still be a difference if you are a seasoned piano player ...

    So far my kids are abit young ... but she already start to enjoy it as there are alot of pre-programmed songs with lyrics some more. The piano technology has progressed drastically ... compare to the yamaha organ I used to play during my childhood ...

    hybrid car?

    The upfront payment so high.

    Somemore rd tax calculated based on KW ouput of the 2 engine combined.

    Goverment not making it attractive for pple to buy.

    I think the main issue is not about going green in such a economic climate ... it is about cutting cost ...

    Maybe they should reconsider diesel engine car in singapore ...but then again .. the government is going to lose so much revenue due to diesel tax about 8 to 9 times of a normal petrol car ...

    Hybrid car will not happen so fast .... due to high cost - not like in the US .. the government go all out to give real benefit for pple using Hybrid technology ... recently the govenment effort to double the existing benefit is still not attractive enough ... why a half hearted effort !!!

    The next closest thing is to bang on car running on compressed gas as they are so cheap .....but then it is not green at all ... ;)

    For me - i eat only soup based. Skip 1000 times everyday. strictly no soft drink.

    But nowaday slackening already ... :D

    Your methods - no carbo only fruits and vege. But can become very hungry very fast ..leh ...

    I heard sometimes if you are hungry in the night - try some honey water to suppress it not sure if it effective.

    I just read today 180g of fats = 13 tablespoon of oil = 5 cheese burger :blink:

    Will tidy my tank first .... too messy ....

    Take good care of my frogspawn ..... it is my fav LPS ..... posed a pic to see how big it can open up .... never really have the real estate to let it grow ........ give it good calcium .... it will double in sized in 1 year. It shall reward you another 10 - 15 branches :)
