Yah, Rainbow are the 1st few LFS started Marine 10yrs ago. I still remeber I visited them 10yrs back when I started my 1st SW tank. Never buy anything from them as is too ex lah.....Heng ah....if not I would end up......

Oh.....not only the SW section, look at the LHs overstocking in one tank. Almost all are dieing and still selling $80/- each. The way they sell things there is like buying parts from Sim Lim complex, 'Ah meng' style....very things 'no problem lah, believe me. You can't this else where already' and know nuts of they own products. Just push and collect cash.

How I wise I have enough $$ & room for such setup!!! I always dream to have one like yours.......

Supreme Aquarium - T-95 Seletar West Farmway 1 - 64823083 Is hard to find this shop and it almost near to the end of the road but you can see a colour poster show 'Marine Fish, 95' and an arrow. Once you see the poster, turn left and walk/dive all the way up the end of the 'run down' house and you will find it. Fishes are nice and good collection of corals too. SW only selling $3 for 10gal. If you buy others stocks, can reduce to $2 per 10 gal. Somtime, he even give you free. Coals too......he he.... Rainbow is at Serangoon Nth. next to Petmart. My advise is....Dun go there and buy any live stock, too ex lah.

I saw once, two mth back in ReefWorld. They called it 'Roti-plater' Funny name, believe only Singapore called this name. Small one, red, 5cm in dia. selling at S$50 each. A normal green plater only at $10/-.

I dun think you reuqire to add those when the SW are fresh. I'm not sure abt the reef builder but for Ca, you can add after your tank been fully cycle est. 8weeks or so, around 2x a week. Test the Ca reading every two weeks or so, if reading shoot abv. 500. Stop dosing. Marine buffer, as long as your PH testing (weekly) is at 8.0~8.2. I dun think you require too add. Add only when you PH drop.

Hi chanbi, How's the price there. Never go there b4. I normaly get all my live stocks from Seletar. I found that the price/quality I got from him are very reasonable compare to other farms and LFS. The most ex LFS I noticed is at Rainbow.

For marine light spec. Usually will be 1g=3~5w. 2.7w is on the low side but that depend what kind of live stocks you have. Purple algae or coraline is a good sign. That means that your water condition is good and contain high Ca, reading should at 450~500. Just my comments.

Main caused is stressed and to solve it, water temp., environment (space, fishes combination etc) play a key factors. Lower the salinity is one of the method to kill the white pot or ich/ick but this will depend on what type of fishes. For some, is not advisable. Copper treatment is not advisable as what Hon said, prolong treatment will caused liver damage for the fishes. To me the best method I still said the garlic treatment. I treat garlic soaked food for my fishes every two days. The fishes love it!

I uses two for my 4ft.. Model EM2217, media used is simple, bio rings at the base and 2xbio-spongs in the center, top 2x Chemi-pure. So far, for a year now. Performing well.....

I tried to keep a year back in species tank only and still encounter a lot of problem like pump, food etc. End up, killed 5 of them........feel so bad...
