  1. So if orchid dottyback occasionally chases them, so Royal Gramma may also do so? What about the question whether will the golden neon goby attack the neon blue goby? Rgds.
  2. Hi, Is it ok to place a golden neon goby and a neon blue goby into the same tank? Will the golden attack the blue? I understand that the golden can grow up to 3" but the blue can grow up to only 1". Also does anyone has Flame Angel or Royal Gramma that had attack these gobies before? Thanks.
  3. Actually, my 1st suspect is the turbo snail (are you referring to those very common snail with conical shell, sold at LFS at $1?) Does the click sound made by the turbo snail comes from it turning its shelf left & right in a very fast manner, which I've seen once, (when it cannot get its way), but that time, there was not click sound?? For every rock that I placed in my tank (when I first set up my tank), I always do a hypersalinity dip and those bristle worms and some cocepods came crawling out so I think there's a high chance there's no mantis shrimp in my tank...but..keep my fingers crossed...
  4. Hi, Suddenly, I have interest in this thread coz I hear a rapid 5 clicks sound in my tank but I suspect it may come from the filter?? Can you confirm does the series of click sounds occur in very fast sequence or not too fast sequence? I heard in the early morning. Is there a time of the day where they are more active making these click sounds? Does the shrimp harm healthy fishes? I do not wish to put my live rock in fresh water (coz I know the shrimp will come out if indeed it is there) and worse still there will be death of other organisms and when I put the rock back into the tank, the nitrates level will go up….. Should I ignore it till I hear further clicks? Yr advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I have a Carberryi (also known as Threadfin) anthia and a (Blue-eyed) Lyretail anthiasf and would like to swop them for a Royal Gramma or exchange the Carberryi anthia for a yellow neon goby, the fish that eat itch parasites. Those who prefer to PM me, please do leave down yr contact no./mobile no. Thanks for your interest.
  6. Hi, I'm selling a Carberryi (also known as Threadfin) anthia and a (Blue-eyed) Lyretail anthias for a total price of $32. Prices quoted above are the slightly lower when first bought from LFS. Each of the anthias above is big, easily 6 cm or slightly longer. Apologies, no pixes to show coz I do not have a digital camera. Reasons for selling is because I'll like to try more boldly coloured fish, hence selling away the anthias to make space for my 2-ft tank. I can also consider exchanging these fishes for a Royal Gramma or exchange the Carberryi anthia for a yellow neon goby, the fish that eat itch parasites. Those who prefer to PM me, please do leave down yr contact no./mobile no. Collection area is at Yew Tee MRT station. Thanks for your interest
