  1. Xenia require plankton or target food frequenly

I just know that as many tank succeed xenia by feeding.

especialy white xenia they's away from red sea and Fiji not only the correct condition , temp but they also want the best quality parameter like sps coral .

just my 0.002 cent good luck ;)

  2. some questions to ask yourself....how old is your tank? what is the bio-load.....how do you feed your fishes. how often do you change water....etc.....

all the methods listed so far will work one way or the other....but seriously no way we can help unless we know what type of system you are running and your current state....;)

  5. Omigosh, that is a HUGE nudi-branch!

When I buy new zoos, I usually do a 5-10 minute freshwater dip before introducing it to the main tank. I'd shake the zoos in the FW and rid of the hitch-hikers! :pinch:

    Hi bro

followed your method . :yeah:can got rid of many of them :D

do you have a better picture of the nudibranch?

Hope they mustn't come to my tank again :P if have a chance, will take a pic again

Can you provide the scientific name of this species of nudibranch and a picture of your zoos colony? I m collecting information on local nudibranches and their diet.

(alternatively, show us a clear picture and we can help idenitfy the species).

oh sorry I don't know their specie but it's not a big nudi smaller than pic that I have post and they ate every zoo in my tank and lay egg on zoo body

    this is my zoos

  6. bro, so what's your secret to coloring those SPS's up so nicely. Do you think it's the lights? or the parameters? or Par ? Cos been following your thread since day one and I must say the growth and coloration is just amazing. Great job.

I would like to know too. :eyeblur::thanks:

a big journey tank you have ;)

  7. Try not to let temperatures rise above 28 degrees. Happened once during a warm spell and I lost all my propagated xenias.

Maybe my C1000 can solve this problem. ;)

Another tip is to maintain your kH level.

Lights above 10,000 Kelvins work well. Anything lower than that and your xenia will most probably turn brown (if it was originally white, etc).

Which level of kh that I should maintain ?

    and how to propagate them?

    Thank in advance :thanks:

  8. Funny question you ask...

You keeping a Xenia dominate tank?? 10K will be good.

    Minimal T5 loh.

:D hahah I gonna collect xenia like a garden maybe add some soft coral.

GARF keeps their xenias under VHO I think

But there is more than lights to successfully keep xenia

absolutely ;) feeding additive conditions and temp

    Thank all guys :thanks:

  9. 1) Space in sump.- I disliked all huge becketts from day one coz they are ugly. My tank is in my living room and the idea of guests seeing gunk spilling out into the collection cup is * urrgh!!* to say the least. Furthermore most becketts rely on the brute force of their pumps which consumes lots of electricity and this again contributes to noise, vibration and tuning it can be difficult. The idea of keeping all equipments in the sump cabinet is extremely important to me.

    definitely agree 100%

Thanks for your discussion and any information :)

    clear and nice :bow::thanks:

  10. Hi bro

    Pls recommend me

I plan to set sps tank.

    Who I can trust ?

I saw the review of tunze skimmer (I think it's very nicc ) but

    3) Equipment requirements:

Skimmers - big and high throughput skimmers required 3-5 tank turnover per hour (thats measured through the actual water coming out of your skimmer, not you pump. Tunze, Red Sea, Sanders, Macro, those that has foam riser tubes less than 3 inches in diameter are not up to the job. You need big H&S, Euroreef, ETSS, MTC, BIg Turboflotors and other high capacity skimmers.

    Thanks :thanks:
