Need some experienced reefers' feedback on locally available RO units. Looking at 2-stage type to see if cost effective for making top up water (3L daily) vs use distilled water & preparing SW vs buying NSW. Don't have much confidence with DI unit performance having zero reject rate.

It's true never be too trusting of any shelf product. Pure is never pure, no matter what the label claims. Then use Novita cos you brewed the DW yourself.

Those interested can bulk purchase bottled DW of 1.5L x 12 bottles / 500ml x 24 bottles at $5 at fr Sheng Siong @ Ten Mile Junction, off Bt Panjang. Local brand Alpheus. While stocks last I think & carry like siao!

Cheap & good test kit is a myth. Every test kit has its limitation, either good high end accuracy or low end accuracy or inbetween. Even independant Internet reports by pro tester can't vouch for each brand. Tetra kit is indicative like all other test kits. Yellow means good, all else shows nitrate build up. If you want to know exact ppm, best to do lab test.
