I will upload some mpore pictures tonight, below are some more details. Tank 3x1.5x2 ft Glass is 10mm thick with black Silicon 1 x sump tank 2 x 1 x 1.5 (3 compartments) 1 x sump is 2.5 x 1 x 1.5 (3 compartments) This is a good quality Changai cabinet that the wife wont object to if placed in the living area. A reasonable offer for me is $430

anybody with a tank in the living room care to offer advise?

Just setup a second hand tank in our living room and the wife aint happy with the noise. Does anyone have any advise on making a tank quiter? I need to start with the quietest return pump, skimmer pump, chiller etc? Overflow is a bit noisy too, what is the quietest method for durso and sump filtration? Also has anyone look at putting any sound insulators inside the tank? Any advice appreciated? Thanks

well the fireshrimp has definitely dissapeared and in my nano thats pretty tough unless your in somebodys stomach! Anyone had problems before with blue legged hermit crabs? Cheers P.S My cleaners are both fine

Can anyone tell me if it's better to fix the skimmer and return pump to the base of my sump or should I place them on top of the egg create (1" of the bottom). Thanks

I introduced a fireshrimp and blue legged hermit into my tank a coupleof days ago and the fire shrimp has dissapeared? The other two cleaner shrimps are fine but there is no sign of the fireshrimp? He was a bit smaller than the others and I know I have a large emerald crab hidded in on of my rocks. Would somebody have eaten him?

Hi acidzazz, can you tell me how you have your sump cabinet setup? Do you still have your return pump in your fuge? Does it get clogged up? Do you have macro algae in your fuge? Did you consider having the return in the same compartment as your skimmer and overflow? Ive got a 2 section compartment and I'm looking for ideas on how to set it up. Cheers

I have a sump that only has two large compartments. I would like to create a refugium and had the following questions:- 1. Can I house the return pump in the same compartment as the refugium or would it get clogged up etc? 2. If the input of the skimmer is from the overflow, should the output of the skimmer be directed into the refuigium or should it be directed back into the same compartment to reduce bubbles? Thanks
