  1. Must buy from a good source for healthy ones. I only managed to keep it for long time after the 4th attempt. It's a butterfly and it's as sensitive and not reef safe. Prone to itch when it first arrive. Proper quarantine is highly recommended. Eats almost immediately. But if it stop eating, immediate action is required or else tragedy in just one or two days time. Currently i've a pair of 4 inches each (excluding the long fin) :D

  2. Actually considering canon 300d. Now I've changed my mind to D70 after seeing your picture :yeah:

Did you process the picture (balance, color, etc) or just resize it before posting? Is it taken from the original lens that comes with the cam?Hope you don't mind sharing :thanks:

  3. a new 1/4 hp chiller can range anything from $350 to $1k++ dependant on the brand.

Hard to price like that. :(

OK, going for $500. Considering that it has just been serviced, with new probe & 1 decimal place controller. Isn't this a fair price?

Note: I've tested it in tap water rigorously after servicing.

  4. No idea how much to sell. Could anyone advice?

Send for servicing few months ago for $250 at Pac****Ma****. Service label (which says not cold) still intact cos never use after servicing. Given up coral. Have also changed new probe and temparature controller with 1 decimal place ($100+).

Interested party please give me your offer. I may want to keep it if price is too low. :thanks:

  5. I bought the temperature controller and replacement probe from this guy. Brand is Everycontrol. Good thing is the probe is water proof so it never rust. Cost not sure but should be around $100 depending on model. Connection should be quite straight forward if you have some basic electrical knowledge. The connection diagram that comes with the controller is quite easy to follow.

  6. Yes..Boss

    I get it

But another question, does siphon start automatically (like other overflow) when pump is restarted? If so, I really can't figure out how. Cos the first "U" pipe from main tank is filled with air when water drop to the min water line.

  7. Hi Brother, is not the main tank water drop to the red line, i means the water in the surface skimmer drop to the red line..(have try it, water went to the sump not more ~ 2 liter....)

More confused now. Is this part (blue arrow) sealed? i.e water only siphon from the top (big pink arrow)

  8. Melvin,

Just one more question is, the Min water level is very low.  Close to 3/4 down before the siphon will stop.  Do you have a sump this big that can hold so much water (3/4 of the tank) in case if the return pipe fail?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

I have the same question in mind. If pump should stop for whatever reason, water in MAIN TANK will drop to RED line and sump will overflow (unless the sump is very big)
