  1. Hi bro, I have a CL650. The sound comes on only when chiller cut-in. Fan sound. When cut out the sound is 'tock" and it goes pretty quiet until the next cut in. hope tis info helps.
  2. If tis one doing well will start keeping nicer clams like maximas
  3. Thanks bro. It is looking OK with mantle fully extended but shell not opening wide. Mantle contracts when fishes swim passed. Read that crocea is the most difficult to keep...haiz should have taken a maxima instead.
  4. It it?! I saw the pics in this forum most also open wide until can see inside organs so felt abit relieved.
  5. Thanks bro for your advice. I tried to close it out of curiosity . Bought it from AM at $1* closer to $2*. Was told very healthy so I was abit concern seeing the inhalant hole opened quite big and then it does not close even when I pick it up Tonite go back see how it is.
  6. Bought my 1st claim a crocea few days ago. Need some advice from the claim experts. I wanted to move it from sandbed to higher up on a rock. When I picked up the clam holding the shell it did not close. Only when I gently apply some pressure then it closed abit. Is this a bad sign? I know it is still alive cuz it started to open wide when left alone and the exhalant valve is moving. When fishes swim pass it will suddenly close and open abit. But after a while it appear quite bo chap - dun seemed to be disturbed by passing fishes. Read in this forum that when touched or when fishes pass by, or when light changed, a healthy clam will close suddenly with some force.
  7. Would have taken it but bro Simon advised me it may be too strong for my tank. See how honest and sincere he is Upzz! Upzzz! Upzzz!
  8. The instruction on the container stated 1 "cup" of table salt for 0.5 gallon of water. but it didn't say how big the cup should be So if any bros have recharged care to share?
  9. I will second tat Upz for ur sale bro!
  10. lol Hi bro Tigger kinda expect someone to ask tis qn. Reckon less than desirable water condition stresses LS and the more susceptible to ich fishes will get it first. Me no expert and am not advocating anything here. Just sharing my experience. Most will undoubtedly agree that fishes and corals are living things and we all have different experience trying to achieve the same thing - one piece of the ocean in our home. And tats wat make reefing more interesting than goldfish...oops!... Happy reefing
  11. I have been reading about hammers and octopus growing new heads in tanks and wonder how it can happen and how long it takes? I am thinking when we buy the hammer all heads are full with the tentacles right? Do u mean another branch grows out from the main trunk complete with tentacles? That can takes years right?
  12. Hi bros, I have put in the Pura Nitratelock yesterday. So far so good. This morn noticed not so much ich on PBT like before, possibly water condition improved less stress
  13. From experience, they are compatible with Tangs but they are shy and slow swimming fish. So when feeding time other fishes like Tangs will cheong rush here and there and MI will lose out. Also hard to start them to eat so better to get feeding ones from LFS. Otherwise they will starve to death. YT likes to nip at their long fins
  14. Bro jervismun, if I get your qn correctly u are asking how much powder to put on the spoon? U should level it not heap it on the spoon.
  15. Thanks bro Simon. Can see from pic above it is the female species. Im looking for male one. Upz for your sales.
  16. Hi bro, is the Nasso a Tang? The one with orange top spine or black top spine? Thanks!
  17. Yes I would like to know too. Cuz I just bought one from Reef Depot but yet to put to use. Was told it is a good alternative to denitrator. Thanks!
  18. Anyone been to Reborn today? Any more jewels? Thanks!
  19. From experience better to off any equipment with air intake like air pump or skimmer.
  20. Point the powerhead on opp side of the OF box towards the mid section of the back of tank. Water on surface will circulate clockwise if the OF is on right side of tank. Put MS away from the powerhead and they will swirl towards the powerhead instead of straight into the OF box. This way fishes will eat them before they reach the PF box. But inevitably some will still get into the box. Hope this help. good lcuk bro.
  21. Hi bro Bob, where is ur place? May wana drop by for LS. PM pls. Thanks!
  22. Wont consider ABT rare but LFS bring them in only a few times in a year. Talking about rare, SL has beatuiful spotted rabbit fish (think Fox Face) seldom see ard here. Upz 4 ur sale bro!
