yes, mantis shrimp are carnivorous, best to keep in a species tank.

I fed my lionfish with market prawn.

It must be hard work keeping your tank and fishes in such good conditions!
-
what types of food do they eat? saw some at LFS some time back but decided not to buy as not sure of the type of food they accept.

cube is indeed cute. Very nice rockscape.

You can also use a clear plastic mineral water bottle. Cut it at about 1/3 length from the mouth, then invert it. Put a piece of bait inside, and submerge the setup in the water. Once the fish goes inside, it will have a hard time finding its way out.

keep the picture coming.

great design!

Yes, when come to keeping shark, the bigger the tank, the better. We need to give them plenty of space to swim and grow.

Are these created using natural rocks? -
impressive plan, admire your determination.

I have also been thinking about keeping these creatures. Are there anyone who has succeeded in training the wild seahorses to accept frozen foods (e.g. Mysis shrimp)? -
the important thing is to keep water flowing through the egg, i.e. avoid stagnant spot in the tank, so as to provide enough oxygenation for the embryo.

fed my snowflake eel with squid tentacles (cut into bite size), and they simply love it.

adult bamboo shark can grow to about 2-3ft. Kept before, its quite a hardy fish.

I cycled my tank w/o lights and chiller. worked fine.

Adding a UV filter may help to clear up the cloudiness too.
