  1. selling teco 680 1/2 hp....

    modded controller & fan...

    condition 8/10

    *temperature reading calibratable

    *temperature reading in decimal point

*differential setting also down to decimal point

*modded condenser fan for better cooling

    PM me for more info...

    thanx

  2. Tunze osmolator are the best regulator for water top up...

it's the best $$$ can buy... 1 of my unit is already 8yrs liao... no problems at all... but the metering pump for the topup has been changed 2 times in the last 8yrs... it's considered damn good as there's soo much back pressure from the 1 way check vavles and DI unit plus Kalk reactors....

    just do it...100% satisfied..

    cheers

  3. if u ground it to your plug's earth...it will trip your ELCB or MCB.

get rid of the pump or equipment, don't waste your time trying to repair (provided u have the knowledge and materials)

cuz not worth the time and danger of killing yourself and your love one.

usally it's the China products that have this problem, although the German stuff sometimes have it too but rarely...

  4. oh!!! GUYS

pls DON'T kid yourself..... protein skimmers will never get those NO3 down to the desired levels. (only if the bioload is really low and the water ratio to fish is much more)

WC is more likely the way but it's not going to be easy and u need lots of discipline to manage those parameters.

    Later

  5. u can always add in sulphur media and have the unit really kick ######.

i was using SR 400 which the AM agent don't bring in.

they can handle 4-5 ft tank without any problems. although maintaining the right ORP within the reactor, is a real pain in the ###### if u don't use a orp controllers with solenoid valve.(using "T" off water from the main supply pump)

i leave with the daily tuning for years.

i've got mixed sulphur beads with hydro carbonate from AM for sale if u really need them. PM me

this days, NO3 is never a problem/concern for me... it's those them evil PO4 that will put a big hole in your pocket.

    cheers

  6. JM

u will have problem with your 2nd and 5th compartment.

remove the sponge in the 2nd (using sponge might cuz water level in the 1st to be higher) and rethink the water level in your 5th.

what's the return to tank piping for?? (back to 1st compartment)how r u going to regulate the water going back to the display and 1st compartment. u might have issues with that.

    do u need the biohome??

wouldn't your rowa/carbon run dry if u have them up so high, they should be submerged completely.

    cheers

  7. i've beed using sulphur for a very long time, and have tried both with and without the recir pumps. IMHO go for the recir (with good flow) and stick a ORP probe in there. it will give u more time to enjoy your tank.... ohh if running the recir sulphur reactors u don't really need that big a volume... also don't use too much sulphur media... they can handle lots of water with very little media needed. as for the neutralizing of the acids in the reactor, get courser media (hydro carbonate from A Medic) if not they might fuse and clog the flow within the reactor. thear down the reactors every 6 mths for washing or else they'll get out of control ( too effecient )

one thing that i notice running sulphur reactors.... they depress your tank ORP levels so if u run it with O3 then no/less worry/concern.

    happy reefing

  8. ohh

why would i ever want to use those thermometer with those cheapo suction cup. i don't trust a $1.50 thermometer in the first place. it's not the rubber suckers u should be worried about it's the thermometer. if u do go check out cheapo thermometer ( i know u do) take a few of them and compare all the temperatures.... they'll all give different readings.

well... u might/should pick out the pc with the lowers reading cuz i'm sure it's gonna make u feel better about your tanks temperature.

  9. Well, some lower grade rubber gets eaten up or so call melt because of O3. If you ever use those thermometer with those black suction holders you'll know what I mean. :)

    shootsimon

u've got to be kidding right??

i have been running 300mg/hr O3 on my beckett skimmer for a very long time, and the O-ring's are it's still good, though u get some black goo when u rub on it.

but to worry about O3 for your FR in my opinion is a waste of time and bad advice, u should know what u're talking about B4 start advicing others/reefers. it's a shame to post things that u think u heard from someone there or was it from those during which ever time, that u don't even remember u thought u knew..... eerrr was it the other way round...opps forgotten...oh..well...i think i know anyway.

    cheers
