For me I like both DIY and cooking weird man For return pump piping, try to go as short as possible. try not to use 90 degree elbow, go for 45 instead. Use value with union for quick removal of pump during mantainance if u want can T-off to FR or chiller forgot about check value I think yr 4ft sump can handle the dack flow for overflow pipe the bigger the better...40mm best but depend on your existing drilled holes size on the tank. must use durso to reduce noise try to have some gradent, some ppl like to t-off to skimmer (depend on the type of skimmer u using) attach dwg incase u do'nt understand my english... so I demand 5 x chicken wings + 5 otahs during yr reef tank open house This works great for me but u might want to ask around for more opinion
