Reef Maniacs Calcium Reactors
Calcium Reactors are important equipment that helps in the replenishing of calcium and carbonates that are absorbed by corals through the process of calcification.
Calcium Reactors works by introducing CO2 into a chamber containing calcium media. This lowers the pH inside the chamber which will then dissolve the media therefore releasing calcium and carbonate back to the reef system.
The reverse flow method employed by Reef Maniacs Calcium Reactors improves the performance which ensures that the media is fully utilized through proper reaction with the injected CO2. Another feature found in Reef Maniacs Calcium Reactors is the CO2 recirculation line, which minimizes the loss of excess or leftover CO2 by re-introducing it back into the reactor.
Secondary chambers are also available to boost the performance of the main Calcium Reactor chambers. Such raises the pH of the effluent (output from reactor) before it is returned to the tank, making the system more efficient.
