  1. hahaa i know.. my tank temperature is 23 their only tankmate is a at that only bother bigger fish, a royal gramma that prefer to hide in its cave and a clown that never venture out of its rbta. plus they are feeding now, so im hoping for the best.
  2. new fishes from ml.. just release them in my tank and the female is feeding a tiny bit already.
  3. carry too many lenses. by the time i reach the place, die already no strength take photo already.
  4. that is not very true though, for i usually will mount my 35mm as a walkaround and a 135 for close up. that 2 lens added together is just abit heavier then the 24-70.
  5. nah, im talking about the acrylic tank. would really love to work with tank with such nice clarity.
  6. i have a 70 -200 f2.8 is with me now, its a good lens but i dont like to use it as it attract too much attention might let go of it soon, pm me if interested. nope, have sold it long ago yes, zoom are not too bad, but image quality cant fight with prime at all, i used to have a 35, 85, 135 combination for my cam, then sold it for zoom namely 24-70, 70-200 and now im going back to prime again for the image quality.
  7. a 50mm, will set you back at most 140bucks, but will be really very worthy. image quality will be higher then your kits lens by alot.
  8. indeed, taking photos of children is very rewarding, but you do need a fast lens, preferably a prime to match up with their speed. i took some of my little cousin pics quite sometime back when im just starting out in dslr with a cheap but worthy 50mm 1.8
  9. this lens should get softer as it get narrower, that was what im told.
  10. you never say its isnt snack for my angel ma.. how i know..
  11. ask you for foc stuff, you go scold me.. sadded... why put at sentosa? can give me a lift there to take? i can wait until you get your class 3
  12. let me know how it does. maybe i will downsize too or something..
  13. the shrimps had passed on.. my tank wave was too strong for them, they was blown away from the starfish and couldnt get back in time to paralyze the starfish to feed on it. in the end the starfish still survive in my tank while the shrimp slowly perished away. might get 1 more pair when i deem the flow is low enough for them.
  14. nikon macro is exp... im using canon 100mm f2.8 macro for my fishes, its slow but at least still doable, if i was to use tammy, it would be too slow. if you are using for coral close up, tammy would be a worthy investment.
  15. there are alot of better photog out there my photos are just so-so only.
  16. not too sure what brand you are in, although most macro shooter will tell you to use manual focus when shooting close up but for fishes, they are too fast for manual focus, and the tammy 90 is really slow and inaccurate when focusing.
  17. im using red rubber band.. but nikon 85mm 1.4 is a good lens too..
  18. some shot i had taken earlier with the mentioned setting as above just that my iso is abit higher at 1000
  19. prime is good. bokeh at 1.2 is out of the world for my 85mm but then its quite unusable as its depth of field is so so so shallow that it will make you think that the photo is blurred.
  20. actually for reef, there isnt much setting to fix. just find out the customised wb you should set in regards to your lights, set a most appropriate iso (for my case, 640 - 800), set spot metering, fix your aperture to around 5.6 to 8 and a shutter of at least 1/80 and you are good to go! not that troublesome isnt it? most of the stuff it just a one time off thing to do.
  21. you should go rc see their photos. damn nice... its really in full details, i can never get that type of result myself.
