i got my sump and tank for a good price... guy from kelantan lane did it for me, let me know if u r interested n pm u the name and contacts so u can straight away deal w him

it doesnt have a power head, it is just self priming and will continue pour out water as much as it can suck out of the main tank. if in case the sump pump that brings in water to main tank fails or stops for any reason, the overflow box will stop coz there aint no water to prim..... its not really that bulky, just needed 7cm of free space behind the tank, as for me i put it on the shorter side coz my tank is 3-sided....no filter media at all, just down the sump thingy.... y i used overflow box? simply bcos i dont have a bottom drain in my main tank, and its more spacious in a sense, aside from i can reposition it wherever i want if i need more space in a certain area... i did advertise for these before, had a few shipped from the US last month, seems noone is interested... anyway, check this web and let me know if u r interested.... http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...?showtopic=2464

...here's mine in action.... basically, when ur return pump stops to function, the overflow will stop as well, but it will retain the siphon back as soon as water starts pumping again in the main tank....

correct me if im wrong, but if calculations are made accurately, changing the angles or stretching it out would make the calculation useless. and as robe says, the position of the bulb mounted should be precise as well to get the desired reflection.... would like to see it in action soon, hope u can post a pic soon n i might consider getting one....

thanks for the advice. im not really sure abt the model of my p/s, but its roughly ard 2ft high n 6' in diameter..... by adjusting u mean to say increase the power or i need lesser so the bubbles can reach the cup and skim?

Recently bought a second hand Macro Skimmer powered by a 2,200liters/hour pump, but seems like bubbles are too small and it doesnt even reach the skim cup. Any advice as how to make this protein skimmer do wat its supposed to do?
