Hi all,
Was thinking of getting a chiller sometime back... well, my new 2.5ft tank is almost cycling finish...and i guess, its time for me to introduce a chiller and let the water run through for another week or so, b4 introducing invert. and fishes....corals...etc..
Can you guys recommend me a chiller, dun haf to be a very powerful 1...coz my tank dun really contain that much water as it shld be.....
Was thinking of getting a standard chiller...then slowing upgrade myself...
dun have the funds in hand to settle down with a expensive model right now..
currently looking for chillers less than $150, first hand..
am i able to get a chiller for that price...
or how about $200???
for your advice! -

crabs??? it would be so hard to remove em after ur alage is gone...
snails get bigger easily...i guess... easier to remove also..

i ran my skimmer since the first day i added water into my tank...

online shopping for fish and corals... wun give u the kind/type of things that u wan... go to LFS... even the same species...comes in different shapes...sizes...etc...

The keyword is: supported on a four-legged rack or cabinet
My tank rack is flatbased, sitting on a piece of marine plywood, to spread the weight across the floor and not just on 4 points like most tanks.
My tank is also placed directly against a column AND a beam, so there should be no danger unlike a big tank placed in the middle of a room (like a room divider like some of the reefers here do).
You really have to think of all the safety considerations inclusive of load.
Luckily, I stay in a private condo.
