  1. The biggest headache was how to mount the lights on top of the tank. Thankfully, Dr Evil came to the rescue with the Mazarra stands. It really is very versatile, we had quite a few options before we settled on the simplest solution!

We had a hell of a time drooling at the amount of light, playing with the thunderstorm mode and the various channels of light available. This light is amazing!!!

    Hi all,

I had a real headache trying to do a comparison with all the various LEDs available in the market. I decided to put it all in one nice table. In case any of the info is inaccurate, do let me know!

  3. Hi jxlex, thanks again!

Yup, you are right, both the razor and vega are available locally. Actually, I would love to go for the Razor as it is a real steal for what it gives. Unfortunately, even the smallest 120watt model will stick out of the boundaries of my 1.5 feet tank. As for AI Vega Colour, hmmm, I get a mix feeling after reading reviews about it. Any comments on the Vega Colour?

    Hi JimmiPaige,

yeah, so sad, Kessil and the GHL would be amongst my top choice but both are not locally available. Haiz . . .

  4. Hi jxlex,

the PAR38 may not be sufficient for me. I am currently using close to 92 watts for the LED, will likely need 3 units of PAR38s to get there. I hope to find a more integrated and elegant solution as the tank is in my dining room.

After some reading, I found a few more options like:

    • AquaIllumination Vega Colour
    • Maxspect Razor
    • Kessil A350
    • Ecotech Radion XR30W PRO
    • GHL Mitras

Its a pity most of these are not easily available in Singapore. Any advice?
