Hi, I am using the same tank using fans instead of chiller. Managed to maintain 27 Celsius without aircon. You can give it a try?

In fact, I thought so too as well, but upon some chats with madpetz, was advised that mine may be too strong. I going on 2 x 10w white, which is rather strong, hence may not be good for too long usage. But with the current timing, corals seems to be doing really well
as for cost of livestocks, really never keep note leh... sorry bro, i buy bit by bit, so cannot remember le leh...Looking nice! Are you using the BM skimmer?

A little off topic, but I've been harvesting the cheato from my tank and tossing it to the bin. Wondering if any reefers would like some for free? Would have to self collect in Pasir Ris. I plan to harvest this weekend. Any takers?

I thought you were going to keep it a species tank for you beloved clowns. But the new additions do make it a livelier place. BTW, the anemone, doesn't it sting your xenias?
You are right! my anemone actually moved towards the rear of the tank and stung the Xenias. The xenias simply melted away . . .

Your female maroon clown has grown!!! She's been snatching most of the food you throw in there?Yes, she is quite greedy and she can easily grab the largest chunk of food I dump in. no worries, I do feed alot, 3 cubes of frozen (BS/MS/D) plus pellets daily. I think everyone should have their fill.

Shot a small clip with a web cam (If you have time, try the HD verison!). You should be about to see my maroon pair which just spawned and laid their clutch of eggs on my magnet glass cleaner at the rear of the tank.

I recently started researching algae scrubbers coz I was having trouble with algae bloom despite 0 NO3 ans PO4, and was hoping to find ideas for an outsump, compact and clean algae scrubbers that wouldn't look an eyesore around my room and setup. Came across Santa Monica's scrubber which fit my bill perfectly, except that it cost more than SGD 1k including shipping costs!
So I had a little discussion with my favorite DIY man, DE Lightings, and turns out he can fashion something very similar with his own lighting fixtures, for a fraction of the cost...
It should be ready soon, and if anyone is interested, I'll post up pictures of the scrubber, and progress of algal growth in the scrubber and in my tank, once I start it going
