  8. To rid of ick, need to go hypo level 1.010 or below. However, this is for treatment only and not good for long term. Ick can still come back beyond the hypo level. Some use copper to prevent ick. But, copper is harmful and should be administered with care and control at a slightly lower salinity for best effect.
  9. Hi, Can anyone help ID the first photo of the butterflyfish in Bro Slayer's report from Iwarna? Thanks!
  10. Very nice collection of fishes with corals! Without chiller at 31degC! What is the water parameters, can share?
  11. Yes, agreed. Whatever the salinity, the fishes ought to be conditioned to the change slowly.
  12. Great photos for recollecting the event! Thanks!
  13. I observed that at 1.016, new fishes took a longer time to settle in with the old fishes, and old fishes' colours were not as nice. My only benefit at this level was less salt to save some money.
  14. I kept mine for a few months at 1.016 but the fishes were doing so-so. I gradually increased back to 1.020 as it is more natural to introduce new fishes in. Not really sure the long term effect of low salinity although there is a great article on that. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_4/v4i3/angelfish/angelfish.htm Perhaps some seniors can elaborate further?
  15. Yup, looking forward to the exotic fishes shipments. Please share if any sightings or if LFS bringing in... Thanks!
  16. Yes, it is doing okay and still in the holding tank. Shall introduce it into my DT carefully as it is the smallest in size. Thanks!
  17. Have been lucky to have seen the tank with my eyes! Sure is HUGE! Thanks to bro tang_sohal for letting me the chance to see the tank!
  18. Hi bro, I suppose 360-380 is the normal range. When the reading drops below drastically, we need to investigate. Thanks for advising. Cheers.
  19. Hi, What is the ORP range recommended? Thanks.
