  3. Yo bro,

    If I remember,

More flow results in less dead spot in your tank. If you notice, areas with low flow will tend to have more diatom, hair algae etc. Furthermore, uneaten food will stuck at some corner with low flow, and rot....

A high flow will also results in a higher turnover of your water to your sump, thus , ya be skimming more efficient.

    Pardon my expression error. :P

    Ps: my cheato still growing...

yes.. more flow means less dead spot, provided u direct them correctly.

    as for the italics,

i think a higher flow return pump will result in higher turnover. Mere flow from wavemakers will not increase any turnover of water to ur sump

  4. Thanks! Will leave if for a while to see if it spreads or grow bigger.

Sorry, can't get a clearer pic. My photo taking skills is terrible when it comes to trying to capture small subjects. The digital cam refused to focus. Sigh....

    Ming,

try using macro function to take if u using the DSLR.. alternatively, get a UW housing to put the camera in and take the pics.... hahahaha

  5. I am not taking any risk. I will use 15mm glass at the minimum. I am only using it at the front and sides and I have a good price here.

i'm having 12mm for my 6.3'x3'x2.5'... it is holding just fine. However, i hv full eurobrace for top and bottom of the tank. For ur size, 12mm is fine. My previous tank of 4x2.5x2.5 is also using 12mm and without any eurobrace too...
