bo lar....i read the kalk thread many times before i bought the kalk and start dripping...haha

no problem.... tested all the parameters like ammonia. nitrite and nitrate...all looked normal le. The only thing i did last nite is to switch off my skimmer and drip kalk.

as mentioned...tank is 5 weeks old. do not smell bad at all.

Thanks for replying. I've check the ammnia level immediately after i notice the cloudy water (which is likely to be caused by the dead shrimp). 0, so i think still safe . My tank is 5 weeks old.

I've got a 2 week old feather duster. Normally it is nice and healthy and opens up nicely . This morning my tank went a bit cloudy, realised that my boxer shrimp is dead. Then is see the feather duster sticking out much more than usual, another darker colour tube inside the outer tube also come out about extra 5 cm....could it be dying?

I drip 1 tespoon everyday...PH i dont know, but i mix with about 25 ml of vinegar, so it did not affect my overall tank PH after each drip

Good evening experts I've this big problem about increasing calcium levels in my tank. Tried the liquid calcium additive from Seachem...to no avail. Read about Kalk dripping, bought a Reefez Kalk and start dripping...still no use! 1. Calcium level 300 even after various addition of the liquid Calcium additive. Mix 1 teaspoon kalk with vinegar, and added two litres of water, drip the 'clear solution'. The next day, calcium level still at 300. 2. Tried again for another 3 times....no improvement What could be the problem? This may sound stupid, but could it be my skimmer ###### in everything? Or could it be my caroline algae absorbing everything (unlikely hor?) ? Please note that there are no corals in my tank yet Please feel free to give your opinion Thanks! Jim
