T5 bulbs are not easy to fuse at all, n this is dependant on the brand too of course... T5 HO emit more heat than T5 NO... but u get more lumens... in terms of brightness PL n T5 HO are initially comparable... however, the problem with PL is that the tubes loses their intensity easily, say 3~4 mths... for T5 HO, they are supposed to maintain their intensity much betta... maybe change tubes once a year if u do not hav demanding corals...

Hi all, my macro as350p pump is officially down yesterday morning... my tank has undergone 2 days of zero skimming... sianz.... need to find a replacement pump for it... wonder where can i buy another pump for it? tried aquamarin, din noe they dun carry it anymore then tried callin bioocean today, tink they not open.... read before that a particular RIO 2100 can be used with the needlewheel... any other brand/model i can consider? cos went to C328 PA the only got RIO1700, florist haven tried yet, tink i need to confirm the model before purchasin it tomolo... any help will be greatly appreciated... thanks!

it wont be overkill la... get the MH, hanging type, where u can adjust the height to adjust the intensity lor... me using 150W on my 3 X 1.5 X 1.5 tank too.... if u scared of melting mushies, try placing them under semi-shade lor
