Going to look for saki 150W DE or AB to test out. I think moving into SPS is a matter of time for any dedicated reefer. Cos theres always the interest to try keeping new corals.....especially the challange of making the environment right for the successful keeping of difficult corals or fishes. However I still want to keep a mix tank....as I still like stuff that move. Especially hairy sps.

NgaoCi...is it true you can copy any game into the harddisk and run it from there without the cd? Then I can have a whole harddisk of games?

not true actually. I will want my xbox to be a portable jukebox, movie box and be able to store my games on the harddisk too. Meaning I can carry it anywhere without lugging all the games along. And bring to chalet can use as jukebox and etc

I prefer to use the term : "User Friendly" software...."Pocket Friendly" also can.

yup I have to agree with pospeh. I have encountered the same freakin frustrating problems. I thought they were all the same. Now I know. hehehe Ok I shall look for the wessbond underwater epoxy. Does anyone have any better brand? Cheap and good? The reason I use Alteco is cos I have been using it for my model kits to repair and patch resin for spray painting.

Thanks pospeh and max. Max, my tank water height is only 20inches (sand 5 inch) and the height of the MH is 10inches above the water. Actually my main purpose of upgrading the lights is to keep SPS. Pink and blue ones. My lighting is 2x150W DE 10000k and 2x54W T5 blueplus, I turn them on from 2pm to 11pm (9hrs photoperiod). Then from 7.30am to 2.30pm and 10pm to 12.30am, my 34W T12 artinic comes on. I was thinking of upgrading one side of my lights to 250W DE cos I want to keep some pink and blue SPS. It was strongly advised by a few SPS siao. hehehe. I actually placed my SPS frags only 1 inch below surface of water and they are right below my MH. 1 colony given to me actually is turning flourescent green. And I notice my clams that are higher up on the rocks (by 5 inch) have faster growth (bigger scutes growth...how to spell) than those on the sandbed. I think I have to experiment. Since my SPS frags do not RTN and healthy colonies given to me also do not RTN, my water condition must be ok. I'll need to get a pink or blue acro and see if it turns shit brown. hehehehe. If it doesn't, then I think my lights are indeed enough. But if it does, then most likely, if not for poor water quality, it should be the lights. I am running a calcium reactor and a kalkwasser reactor and I got no nuisance algae problems. Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 10 (due to high bioload of fishes) Cal 450ppm Pospeh....erhm I mean phosphates 0 Dkh 10 Ph 8.1~8.3 Salinity maintained at 1.027 with TUBBY

I use Alteco A+B. Its $6 in roll form. No heat and water proof.

ok guys, I just called I-Conn and they confirmed they can do the mod of executor v2.3 lite with all programs loaded. It takes them 5 days to do it. Price is $145. If you upgrade the harddisk, additional $10. (buy your own seagate harddisk 120G lockable one). Since the price is quite competitive, I am no longer doing the bulk order. I'll be getting them to do it for me. Comes with warranty too. Cheers

yup I checked with edwin and he told me the 250W and 150W are using the same hood. So I guess it should be ok. (gulp). Otherwise I think I should just go for electronic ballast. OH CHOICES CHOICES! I can't possibly sell off my RIGA cos I don't think I can get a good price for it second hand. is there somewhere online I can see the differences in parts and sizes or holders for a 150W and a 250W DE?

quite true bro, but I-Conn also does this however they need 2 weeks and you dun know what they place in. They claim they use executor v2.0 lite (old version). If they can bring in the executor v2.3 lite and mod for $130, I rather ask them to do it for me too. does anyone know if they have the latest mod chip?

Hi Bro, this is a mod chip for the xbox. It allows multiregion DVD playback, VCD playback and erhm 'friendly' original games. After it is modded, you can change to a 'lockable' 130G harddisk and erhm copy games into the harddisk and run it from the harddisk. Can also playback AVI, MPG and RM files too. I just need to get the chip before I can do anything. I am open to any lobang or anyone who can help to bring the chip in? Otherwise if by this weekend no solution is in sight, I will go ahead and order 3 units (bwilly, myself and possibly alvy).

Dersuz bro, actually I was refering to the red sea wavemaker being soft start. Are maxijets really softstart???? That would be cool! Where can I get more info about them? Thanks

bro dun do the timer switch thing. The Red sea operates on different principles. It does not turn on and off a powerhead. It reduces the current instead, so drop in speed to almost off then starts it agan. (known as soft start). Using a timer to turn on and off will have higher chance of spoiling the powerhead. However, I have yet to see a pump that actually spoilt due to constant on/off. Maybe someone can try and feedback on how true it is. Or is it just a rumor started to boost sales of wavemakers?

Hi xboxers anyone interested to tag along my xbox mod chip order? Also does anyone know of good lobang to obtain the executor v2.3 lite? Or even good lobang to bring it in? I think the executor v2.3 is the best available. The Pro and solderless is a waste of money. I've seen the installation instructions and it seems to be quite easy to solder and install. bro are you sure acrylic is stronger? From what I know its more fragile and has higher tendency to break/crack.

hi bro from what I know, all hns pumps use aquabee with needle wheel impellers. Can't buy locally....or even if can, will be exhorbitant prices cos they do not want people to use it for their own DIY.
