Anyone has any good sandshifter to recomend? Dun wan them to bury my corals at my sandbed! i dun like starfishes, cucumbers are usually too big! i dun have a lot of sand in my 4ft. Maybe abt 1inch or 2inch at most. Signal gobies are suitable due to their size and feeding habit. Someone mention hector gobies shiftsand also? efficient?

Some suggestions..i feel that you should change your return pump as some reefers mention. The flowrate is sufficient for your tank but the pump is not as reliable as Eheim pumps. i'm not saying that atman is lousy. Its just that a return pump is a very critical piece of equipment. Imagine you just spent thousands of dollars on a reef tank. You realise one day after work that your whole tank crashed because your return pump fail. Doesn't it sound logical that one should invest a little bit more just to protect your livestock? I believe that why many reefers spend a whooping 500 buck for a iwaki pump. 150w are not enough for SPS. Most tanks i have seen with 150w Mh only manage to colour some part if not none of the SPS. One Mh, like some reefers mentioned, have dark areas at the side. Which may or may not be good depending on your tank inhibitants. eg. mushrooms no need as much light. Some deeper sea fishes prefer to have subdue lightings too. Better if can upgrade to a 400w or 2x250wMh. T5 is also a very good option. You will need to read up more to decide for yourself what is best for your system. Just my 2 cents...

i think you should buy 820 for 2 ft. You can adjust the flow if you find it too strong

No point changing to Aquaz tube using the old ballast. Aquaz tube is HO at 24w for 2 footer. Aquaz tube will not be using its full potential if you use the old ballast. as old ballast support till 20w only. Btw you using for what tank size? i diy a 2 footer dymax with Osram ballast and aquaz tube. Since decommission my 2ft, may wan to sell that away.

i've also received prank calls recently. Although not as serious as what seamonkee experience, it is becoming very annoying. Call the police but they just say its a civilian case, can make a report if i wan to. Also ask me to call my lawyer and he will advise me on what to do!!! Maybe i should just say i recieved threatening call also

i think it is suitable for a fish only tank ONLY. Its cheap but its lifespan depends on the number of hours you use everyday. Used one before and it died after 3 week. Btw i used it on a 2 footer and did not have a chiller. It doesn't contribute that much heat to the tank.

The lighting was delayed due to some financial difficulties. Bought the parts and will need some time to fix it up. Now cannot stock tank as no proper lighting and one side of the tank is almost full.. Will post some pics when my lights are up. Then can start some serious stocking
