  1. I am not sure. Mine is a euro-Reef RC500 (Recirculating) protein skimmer. Comes with (3) three SPE5/Eheim 1262 recirulating pumps.
  2. Monti nudis are very bad. I found this article very helpful. Nice SPS! http://www.qualitymarineusa.com/article.as...C5-0913F83DCB60
  3. My new skimmer arrived today!!!! I hope to finish my new reef project this weekend. I need to modify the stand I built behind the 125 gallon sump to hold my new calcium reactor and skimmer.
  4. Awesome Reef setup!! Keep the pictures coming. If I were closer, we could trade SPS frags.
  5. Adoreable children and a nice looking outdoor reef....you are living the dream! Enjoyed viewing your pictures.
  6. I am running tunze 6100s on my system. 6000s are very powerful as well. If you add a thicker substrate and place it on top of your fine grain size sand bed you should be fine.
  7. How do you like the hydor pumps? They just starting offering these pumps in the United States and I thinking about adding one for my SPS QT system (either that pump or a new tunze nano stream).
  8. My new GEO 624 calcium reactor is now up and running
  9. The Just Coral frag glue is the best.....very thick and bonds very well. Great for SPS frags!
  10. I filled the CO2 tank this evening. Here are a few new pictures of the reef. Still no skimmer but I am told the skimmer will ship soon. Here is a picture of some free stuff I won last night at my local reef club meeting in the United States
  11. Yes, you can feed SPS with DT's oyster eggs. They are available locally where I live (United States) but I do not feed my SPS anything and my corals are doing well. I heard the oyster eggs smell bad as well.
  12. True, true. When my new Euro-reef skimmers arrives, jervismun will be very happy.
  13. They export the yellow tangs worldwide, but the coral and live rock are off limits. You can purchase snails, inverts and macro algae from Hawaii via Indo-Pacific Reef Farms, which is located in Kona, Hawaii.
  14. I know....very yellow. They grow much larger in the wild as well
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome, Storm Tropper! I have been lurking on this site for months and finally decided to become more active here.
  16. Achilles tangs get very large in the wild.
  17. Yellow tangs in the wild are amazing ...here is another picture
  18. Very nice reef! I had a PBT.....turned out to be too much for my 75 gallon reef so I sold him to another reefer with a larger system. Here is a pic of my PB....still alive but in another system. Your PB looks healthy and happy as well!
  19. Can you move the coral to a different location in your reef exposed to more light? If the shadow is preventing all light to a portion of your coral, then unless moved to higher light or fragged, that portion w/out polyp extension will die off over time. Good luck.
  20. Here are some more....the picture of the achilles tang didn't turn out so good, but the others did...enjoy.... the last picture is of me!
  21. Well, until I get my new skimmer, maybe jervis would appreciate seeing pictures of my old skimmer in action? Pics of my old skimmer in action
  22. I edited the last picture because it is hard to place a face with an underwater picture....but this is a better picture of me.
  23. I was told that my new skimmer will be shipped today or tomorrow, so I should get it within a week. It's is a large Euro-Reef skimmer with three pumps. I will keep the pictures coming. I recently posted some reef pictures from a snorkel and dive trip from Hawaii.....posted in the Scuba/dive forum....you should check them out...here is a preview ...
