If going for 4x39w T5 tube, how many eBallast do I need?
-
By the way, forgot to mention.. if you have yet to buy your e-ballast or PL tubes, you might want to consider buying from Orgas... Just bought a couple of elbiru e-ballast from him today... you won't find these prices in Sim Lim, Kelantan Rd nor sungei rd.... trust me I have combed the whole Jln besar area........ damn siong!!
e-ballast: 1x36W -$14; 2x36W - $18 (all with PSB sticker)
AEC PL tube 36W 6500K-$8
Err....."Orgas"? A shop name? and located at?

Hi,
Just like to check....would the heat from the eballast affect the plastic aircon trucking?
I am currently considering DIY a light set and I am rather concern if the heat could be a problem.

Oh no
I've been stirring up the sand...because of the brown algae problem which is covering almost everthing.

Hello,
Sorry...another question on lighting.
For a 3ft tank with PL 2x36w (10000K) and PL 1x55w (10000K). Is it able to Coral and Anemone?
Thank you

Hello,
I read that coral can be classified as peaceful, semi-aggressive or aggressive.
For those semi-aggressive or aggressive, it is said that it is best to space them out from the next coral.
My question is how far apart should it be? A gap of one coral size?
Confuse

I had my Chemipure in my canister filter...

Please don't mind if I add another question to your thread. Still on White Spot.
What if an infected fish proof too difficult to catch.. hidding among the LRs and Corals. How do we treat it? And method safe enough not affecting the corals or other inhabitants in the tank?
Thank you.

Newbie in Marine setup here...
With the above method...once the food is thawed and disperse thru'out the tank...wouldn't that pollute the water?
Do you do water change after feeding?
-
Hello,
Just setup my 3ft tank...only two days old.
Currently in the tank are coral sand (C1) and a few Live Rocks.
I notice that my tank water smell bad too. Reading this tread, it would appear that my LRs are dying.
Do I do water change during this period to get rid of the smell (how much % of the water to replace)? OR leave it as it is and hopefully the smell will go off soon (tyically how soon)?
...
Please advise. Thanks.

I started out in FW (and Planted Tank) for many years but have always had the interest in Marine aquaria.
Before taking the 'plunge' I started reading as much as possible from books and the internet. This is a very informative forum with lots of helpful people. I have definitely learned a lot here. And also, I particularly like the local context (and humour )
