  1. Hi all I have a JBJ Arctica nano chiller about a year old,

    Just sent for servicing plus add external Thermostat at Iwarna,

    Repair guy said chiller is good condition internally, still very clean,

    external thermostat was installed as original one not functioning well.

    Chiller is in very good condition, no problems at all, just tested yesterday, chills really quietly and quickly.

    finally back to reefing after 3 years.

    started a new JBJ 28G tank for 3 months already, light stocking, SPS focused reef, a recent shot with my iphone, sorry for poor quality, will upload better pictures soon.

    Equipment: Tunze 9002, Bubble Magus Dosing pump, Artica Nano Chiller, Vortech Mp10, Ecoxotic stunners, upgrade stock pumps to Maxijet 1200.

Today I read the book Advanced Marine Techniques, apparantly this system has its shortcomings as well, apparantly it disturbs the PH of the tank, competes with corals for important trace elements and I can't really remember the rest. But i did read on a thread on reef central that an Algae Filter simply isn't good enough to maintain filtration for the whole system, it's still wise to employ the use of a protein skimmer.
