  2. UV ah Wanted to save money on electricity lah, so remove chiller better. Wife pretend didn't mind extra cost but I know better Can FOWLR keepers list their LS here?
  3. Hi people, Am going for a FOWLR setup. After I've sold all my LPS I'll be left with 2 talbot damsels, 1 tomato clownfish, 1 cardinalfish, 1 bicolor dottyback. Question, what nice and a bit larger kind of fishes could I still add? What temp do you normally try to achieve in a FOWLR? Was hoping to decommission my chiller too, and my MH. Advice is solicited from all bros/sisses here. Thanks
  4. sorry, bit blur can only entertain people to view/see/buy in the evenings. Like now still can
  5. yeah bro. cheap price. so no reserve. will only reserve if buyer commits to come and collect on the same day. hope you understand that the price isn't worth my time to stay home and then nobody show up lah thanks for the upz. for those who PM. I'll only reserve if you can collect on the same day that you ask to reserve.
  6. Hi All, decided to go for Fish Only for a while cause will be travelling heavily this next few months so lesser maintenance for my wife. So selling my LPS. Self collect from Simei. 7. the sound does not come from outside the pump as vibrating against anything. the pump itself gives off some low frequency humming sound. i think it's the back pressure thing. i'll probably be going tomorrow to buy some pvc and use a bigger sized pipe. currently using 20mm and end is 16mm
  8. I still have one valve connected to a Tee which is closed. Would releasing some of the pressure back to the sump improve it?
  9. so it's a RIO design issue? are there any other good pump with approximately the same flow rate which won't vibrate (at least not that much) in the non-rich reefer category
  10. any other opinions? silly or otherwise eh? by the way, the guy says the distribution adaptor is around $20+ while the extra coupling is $4. If it works, then you've got a true union, 4 valves, and several T-joint in one. If it works
  11. I think it's very easy to remove because the base of the thing has a true-union like joint and if the additional nozzle is used then the hose is locked with a threaded ring which I guess would make the whole thing easy to disassemble and return. By the way, the base is inside threaded at 3/4 size, I think my RIO32HF has a threaded outlet with size
  12. There's an extra nozzle that could be attached which I think could have a different size hose.
  13. Hi Peeps, Not sure if this is the right place to post this... Saw this hose connector in the shop at kitchener complex and was wondering if any body uses this to distribute the flow of the pump instead of using PVC Tee-Joints and valves. Just recently changed my piping to use PVCs but the RIO32HF vibration is driving my family crazy. I have split the return pipe such that 1 section goes through my chiller, 1 goes directly to the display tank and 1 for the SCWD. Too many pipes causes too much vibration. So was thinking of using mostly hoses. What do you guys think? By the way, I think the hoses that fits these are the 16/22 Eheim sized hoses.
  14. isn't literacy mean "able to read and write"?
  15. cool, thanks bro. i'll check it out tomorrow. for the meantime, anybody else know of any other? mayne a bro or a sis here want to rent out ?
  16. Hi all, Does anybody know any reasonably priced rentals for Plasma TV or Project/Screen? Was thinking of doing a video presentation during my daughter birthday party. Thanks
  17. just a thought bro, being silly myself if you're pushing tap water to the pipe, this probably means that there is no preassure build up inside the pipe. So the water will just rush straight towards the end of the pipe where it'll hit the end cap (I assume there is an end cap) which will force a change of direction which will cause the water to come out from the holes nearest to it. Now if there is enough pressure in the pipe, then I guess you'll see water coming out from all holes. this is purely speculation bro
  18. design update: have installed my set already for 2 days now. but for anybody considering to DIY one, please note that you're magnet must be strong enough so that you could set the speed a bit higher. because by reducing the voltage going in to the fan, it's also losing power and sometimes it doesn't turn, so i reduced the frequency of the mixing when there is somebody around to check until I sort out the design flow. I think it's better to reduce speed by mechanical means (i.e gears) rather than reducing the power
