smallbutmighty
Hi, recently I on my return pump to the fullest and notice that the cycle in the display tank is smooth enough. I m having a 2ft cube tank anyone not using wavemaker? Will it have any other impact?

SRC Member kenyee Posted January 26, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted January 26, 2014 Bro, what's your return pump?..if ur return pump is very strong, u can branch out the flow like having a Y joint..u can have more current in your tank to blow away detruis n algae on sand n rocks..but u can't have random wave like current mimicking the sea ..there r Reefer's tank without wavemaker but their pump are very high end pump, powerful n can control different mode to have waves like in the sea..maybe u can post a video of ur tank n let us see the waves..cheers n happy reefing Quote @ 291213 Updated video: Kenyee FOWLR http://m.youtube.com/my_videos
smallbutmighty
Thanks for the replies guys. My return pump should be eheim 1260. Will try to take a video tonight when I home. I m using wp25 wavemaker but find that it too strong for my tank as fishes hide at corner more often and only comw out when I off the wavemaker. Athier
Having one would be good for movement in case either return pump or wave maker breakdown ;-)
