I lack a lot of test kits (getting them soon.)

dKH 8

Ammonia <0.02

pH 8

My candy cane coral seems to be getting smaller and smaller every day ...

Have been putting food on their mouth now, one starting to swell up o.o , is that a sign of recovery?

Thanks in advance ^.^

Please don't flame me if I am making a big mistake. :pinch:

P.s The zoa you see in the 2nd picture is the one I want to trade  been with me for awhile quite healthy (cross promo haha)

How did u epoxyed ur coral? Underwater or out of water..always wonder..like to know how to do it

thanks i will move it around

out of water, here's a video "vivid aquarium"-

Read from many source that phosphate should not exceed 0.03 otherwise coral will not grow. O.5 is way too high i think

icic i will do some water change. thanks

Did a change in phosguard ... Phosphate dropped to 0ppm...

But ... nitrate somehow climbed overnight o.o to 80ppm .... :angry2:

Going to do a water change now ~Sigh~

Is there going to be any drastic side effect of this high nitrate? :poster_oops:

I started a post few days back abt my nitrate. Tested using salifert and api at the same time. Salifert 25 api 80

That could explain ... I might want to go get salifert nitrate test kit soon ... haha using api now

p.s Dosed vodka and water change ... tested again ... results show 0ppm... Api test kit range very big ... so approx 0ppm bah haha

Not sure what is double sensitive method. Can explain?

maybe i shall say high sensitive method, using same amount of water but double the regent, then divide the reading by half. This method is also mentioned in the test kit manual.

子非鱼,焉知鱼之乐... (you are not the fish so you...)

Then: my 4FT low tech selling off tank... (2006)

Now: (2014)

Does it work with api test kits?
