Just sharing .....

Just bought a water distiller (Novita NW200) at CK Tang .. the sale is on until the 24th March ... selling at $198 discounted from $399 .. for those interested in using distilled water for testing or for their FW topup units .. cheaper in long run than buying pet bottles.

Distillate capacity is 1.3L/hr, comes with 4 units carbon filtration. You can buy extra units at CKT for $8. Check it out if interested.

"How Does Novita Water Distiller Work?

The convenient Water Distiller provides high quality water using the oldest most effective method of water treatment. When your Water Distiller is turned on, the water temperature rises and the light volatile gases boil off and are discharged through a vent in the condensing coil. The water is then heated to high enough temperature (100?) to kill bacteria, viruses, or other living organisms that may be present. As the boiling water is converted into steam, it leaves behind all chemicals, salts, and other contaminants. The steam vapor rises through a condensing coil, cooling the steam, turning it into distilled water. The novita is a water distiller as correctly pointed out by DID... consumes 600W of electricity. about 9 cents of electricity per hour of operation.... hmmm... definitely much cheaper then buying bottled water for toping up....

What about the Osim water filter that is also selling $160+. It just fixed on the tap and filter the water. Can it be use?

I know that it will not remove much as it only filter and no power comsumption too.
