I experience a near tank crash yesterday!

I am not sure how your fuse box and electricity circiuts are connected. Normally in an apartment, one fuse (there are many fuses in fuse box/ control panel) is linked to a few power points, if one of the power points blew, then all the power points connected to that fuse is cut off. So if your WM does not share the same fuse as your tank, then your tank will be save.

I am no electritian, I suppose that's how it works. Buying an UPS is a good option. Thanks for sharing.

I think for this case, the fuse did not trip but rather the ELCB tripped. End up everything lost power.

Hmm.. makes me think better to isolate my tank power point to another ELCB so when my house power trip, it does not trip my fish tank.

Meanwhile I still sourcing for the true sine wave inverter :P You'll still require backup batteries and charger.

Yah loh, weileong is right. But waht puzzle me is that the last it happen only my kitchen is affected. This time round the whole house is affected.

Can anyone advise? Any qualified electrician want to help me?

No mah, mine is a Seahorse tank mah (although it is progressing into a reef tank ;) ).
