Reiz
Hi all , a pretty new reefer here , would like to know how you guys handled brown jelly disease on your euphyllias , currently my wall hammer is going through either brown jelly disease or rapid tissue necrosis and i am not sure what should be the proper treatment regarding this. Please advice on this , thanks. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
sjrng
From my experience, usually quite hard to save non-branching lps from brown jelly. If you can't frag off the infected part, can try removing entire piece from tank and gently blowing the damaged tissue off (outside display tank), and iodine dip to try to preserve remaining tissue. Best if you can isolate the coral in separate tank so it doesn't spread to the rest of your corals. I would discard if too much of the coral is infected.
